Deluxe digibook double CD with newly re-mastered audio by Joel Grind. This new edition of the already-staggering The Enemy of Virtue adds PROFANATICA's songs from the Trampling the Holy Faith four-way split album in 2008 - regarded by many as some of the band's best songs ever.
Originally released just as PROFANATICA were about to mount their monumental comeback with Profanatitas de Domonatia, The Enemy of Virtue was a timely reminder of just how pioneering this American black metal was - and was about to continue being.
Forever the iconoclasts, PROFANATICA are both black metal legends and defiant of such concepts of "legendary." As one of earliest American black metal bands, during the dark 'n' bloody days of the early 1990s, PROFANATICA set out upon a course of utter blasphemy and barbaric primitivism, then retreated into the shadows as a cult icon, only to be resurrected years later once the black metal scene had finally caught up with their invention/degradation.
Now, with The Curling Flame of Blasphemy, PROFANATICA have gone back to the beginning while re-imagining their signature sound in the subtlest and yet somehow-most-powerful way.

PROFANATICA require no introduction. Cold 'n' alone American black metal before "USBM" became some dumb rallying term, pushing boundaries and "good taste" with vile blasphemy and even-more-vile music, and simply doing whatever the fuck they want, both in their original early '90s guise and their now-intensely-prolific period in the 21st millennium: there's only ever been one true PROFANATICA.
