Titans are the most ancient of all deities depicted in Greek mythology – even older than the Olympic Gods themselves. They represent the forces of nature. No other title could have been more apt to represent SEPTICFLESH's ninth full-length. "Titan" is the power of darkness made manifest in music. Guitarist Christos Antoniou, who passed his academic studies of classical composition with honours and distinction, already proved his prowess for orchestration with “Communion” (2008) and "The Great Mass" (2011). Yet on "Titan", the musician shows a new level of maturity in his use of classical instruments within a metal context, hiring once again the services of the FILMharmonic Orchestra Prague. With Fotis Benardo’s inhuman drum patterns and vocalist / bassist Seth “Siro” Anton’s demonic growls coming straight from the Underworld, "Titan" actually stands an otherworldly, godlike album.

'A Fallen Temple', the fourth full-length in the long-running career of Greek metal luminaries SEPTICFLESH, occupied a unique space in the band's history upon its original release in '98. The album featured re-recordings from their savage debut LP 'Temple of the Lost Race' interspersed amongst some of the band's most avant-garde work to date. The heightened atmospherics, synthesized orchestration, and angelic soprano vocals affirmed the bold and adventurous creative direction the band had begun to follow, and was the perfect bridge to what was coming with 1999's 'Revolution DNA'.

Since their reunion SEPTICFLESH have established themselves as a leading force of symphonic Dark Metal with their critically acclaimed masterpieces “Communion” (2008) and “The Great Mass” (2011).
Yet the Greeks already won a dedicated and strong fan-base in their first incarnation as SEPTIC FLESH. Produced by former ROTTING CHRIST keyboardist and NEKROMANTIA founder Magus Wampyr Daoloth, their debut full-length “Mystic Places of Dawn” was released in 1994 and soon acquired cult status.

When SEPTICFLESH released their comeback-album "Communion" in March 2009, the response was overwhelming.
The Greeks returned in triumph, had to answer more than a hundred interviews toured through Europe in spring and will again with Cradle of Filth in December. This success has led to a dramatically increased demand for SEPTICFLESH's 5th and now out-of-print classic "Sumerian Daemons" originally released in 2003 on the meanwhile dissolved label Hammerheart Records.
Now Season of Mist brings back this sought-after neo-classical masterpiece of extreme music, which fuses cinematic orchestral passages with melodic Dark Metal at the border of Black, Death and Gothic Metal.

This limited collector's art book includes music scores by Christos Antoniou, and artworks, photographs and paintings from Seth Siro Anton for SEPTICFLESH of course, but also bands like Paradise Lost, Moonspell, Exodus, Kamelot and Caliban among others. It is printed on high quality paper with a full colour cover and a dust jacket with different image that unfolds to a 98cm x 55cm poster with cold foil printing. This edition includes "The Great Mass" on CD and on DVD in 5.1 sound. The DVD also includes a documentary on the making of "The Great Mass" with interviews with the band members about the recording with the FILMharmonic Orchestra of Prague, the lyrics and the meaning of "The Great Mass, the art and visual aspects, the recording process, drums and the production. The second CD is exclusive to this edition and contains the orchestral versions of the nine songs "Communion" album. The choirs of its orchestral version are sung in French, and other languages such as Italian and German can be heard on this bonus CD.
