Nato da una costola dei Mortuary Drape dopo la registrazione dell’album “Secret Sudaria”, il progetto THE MAGIK WAY si sviluppa nell’inverno del 1996 ad opera di Diabolic Obsession, Old Necromancer e Nequam i quali, con l’aggiunta di Azàch, danno vita ad un organismo di stampo occultista radicalmente influenzato dallo studio delle arti esoteriche e che si muove principalmente attraverso un’idea della musica dai connotati fortemente teatrali ed evocativi.

“Materia Occulta 1997–1999” contains the entire material recorded by the obscure project in their years of intense musical, esoteric and spiritual activities. “The Magik Way” (1997) is a necromantical suite with echoes of cult esoteric italian acts like Devil Doll and Antonius Rex. “Cosmocaos” (1999) shows THE MAGIK WAY leaving the Metal sound and exploring an ethereal, mystic approach remanding Ordo Equitum Solis, Dead Cand Dance, Ildfrost and Jacula.
