The third studio album of dark and disturbing experimentalism from the Norwegian Avant-Metal legends Fleurety.
Formed in 1991 and known for its boundary breaking approach to Metal, The White Death is Fleurety’s third full-length studio release and comes almost two decades after 2000’s Department of Apocalyptic Affairs.
Returning to the style of the legendary debut Min Tid Skal Komme (1995) - in a more experimental, sarcastic and concise way - The White Death captures a darker and more disturbing version of Fleurety than ever before: Embracing the strange and the abstract to create a wholly unconventional yet often poignant opus, both deep and raw in its expression.
Composed of four EPs (Ingentes Atque Decorii Vexilliferi Apokalypsis, Evoco Bestias, Et Spiritus Meus Semper Sub Sanguinantibus Stellis Habitabit, and Fragmenta Cuinsvis Aetatis Contemporaneae) which were written and recorded between 2007 and 2017, this collection (which the band considers an album as opposed to a compilation) follows the band’s evolution and self-rediscovery across an uncertain time.
A remaster of the 1995 studio debut from boundary-pushing Black Metal purveyors Fleurety.
Following on from the ‘Black Snow’ demo in 1993 and the A Darker Shade of Evil 7” the following year, the band quickly refined their at times chaotic sound and presented their debut masterpiece to the world, in the shape of the full-length release, Min Tid Skal Komme; an exquisite journey through dark and often introspective soundscapes.
Min Tid Skal Komme was originally recorded at Panser studios in Norway & has been remastered by longstanding partner of the band, Greg Chandler (Esoteric).
This CD edition features the cover artwork from the album’s original release.
