Originally released in 1993 by Candlelight, this album can be considered some of the most important Unholy Black Metal material that came out from the United States. Havohej ('Jehovah' spelled backwards) is the solo project of Paul Ledney, formed in 1993 after the split of Profanatica the previous year. Former Profanatica and Incantation member Brett Makowski assisted with guitars and bass on the first Havohej album, Dethrone The Son Of God, which consists mainly of re-worked and re-recorded Profanatica tracks.

HAVOHEJ is the solo project of Paul Ledney, formed in 1993 after the split of Profanatica the previous year. Former Profanatica and Incantation member Brett Makowski assisted with guitars and bass on the first album, "Dethrone The Son Of God", which consists mainly of re-worked and re-recorded Profanatica tracks. This is the essence of evil and blackness with each and every sinister guitar riff, complimented by a signature vocal style that truly embodies the meaning of true Unholy Black Metal.

The most obscure material recorded in the USA, the EP entitled “Unholy Darkness And Impurity”, originally released in 1993, by the legendary Havohej! Totally restored layout, remastered sound and, as bonus material, the rare EP from 1994 “The Black Mist” is added.

“This is the first proper recording under the name Havohej. The style of “Unholy Darkness and Impurity” was something that I captured in the spur of the moment at the studio in real time. As time went on the Rumble / explosion was added to and expanded upon. What you are hearing is the very first incarnation of that basic idea of things to come!”
