Initiation to Obscure Mysteries, Ithaqua’s debut demo, which was released in early 2015, offered an ancient and reverent take on classic Hellenic black metal. It basically brought the classic riffing and majestic atmospheres of Rotting Christ or Varathron together with a rather raw, cryptic production; though it should be no surprise that these guys completely nailed the sound, being that the members have performed in acts like Kawir and Caades Cruenta. Ithaqua returned in spring 2016 to unleash their next batch of occult ruminations, this time in the form of a two track seven inch titled The Black Mass Sabbath Pulse.
