Gli Obsidian Tongue si erano fatti conoscere nel 2010 con il demo "DemoTape"; successivamente avevano proposto il primo album intitolato "Volume I: Subradiant Architecture" uscito nel 2012 .In questo 2013 rientrano invece in scena con il secondo disco supportato dalla collaborazione fra l'etichetta canadese Hypnotic Dirge Records e la Dissociation Records.
