War Cry by Set, Magnus, Andreas & Henke
”Den Förstfödde” is Arckanum’s 9th studio album after 25 years of existence.
The album ”Den Förstfödde” is a dedication to Loki’s and Gullveig’s firstborn, Jörmungandr.
The songs are invocations, prayers and magical formulas, and they are designed to enkindle the black flames of Thursian Powers, its followers and Ragnarök. “Blow your venom and stretch your wings oh Mighty Dragon!”

Sweden's black metal troll ARCKANUM return with his eighth opus, "Fenris Kindir"!! Equal parts ripping riffs and howled vocals from the edge of Ragnarok, "Fenris Kindir" expands on the darkness of "Helvitismyrkr" and finds ARCKANUM taking a battle axe to the world. Having emerged from the black metal underground, the bludgeoning brute force of the "Fenris Kindir" demands the respect and fear that plundering raiders from the North commanded centuries prior.

The band was founded in 1992 by Shamaatae, who had previously played drums in CONQUEST/GROTESQUE (which were to become AT THE GATES). Shamaatae is also renowned for his occult writings on Pan, anti-cosmic Satanism, Norse tradition, runic witchcraft and chaos-Gnosticism, all of which inspire his music. Now “Helvítismyrkr” marks the next step in the evolution of ARCKANUM by adding strong influences from the 80’s to its unique Black and Death Metal mix. Descend into the dark realm of Hel!
The album is a dedication to Surtr; Giant and Ruler of the world of flames Múspellzheimr, and Loki; the Flaming Giant and Archenemy of the worlds. ”Sviga Læ” is a manifestation of the blazing Chaos and the burning of the gods.
