Mayhem, the Norwegian pioneers responsible for invigorating a global metal scene alongside originators such as Venom, Celtic Frost & Bathory, formed in 1984 & with a long history of tragedy, intrigue & infamy has become a truly revered legend of black metal over the subsequent four decades. A large part of the band’s lasting legacy was established in the late 80’s & early 90’s, when original members Euronymous (Guitar) & Necrobutcher (Bass) welcomed Hellhammer on drums & Dead on vocals, to help shape a new era of darkness, becoming highly influential leaders of the genre in the process; an accolade which has endured to this day.
Revisiting the very earliest incarnation of the band & marking 40 years since Mayhem’s cult debut performance, this special limited Record Store Day vinyl release features Mayhem’s April 1985 gig in Ski, Norway, where the band carve their way through cover versions of classic Venom & Celtic Frost in this rare delight for fans.
This Record Store Day edition of ‘Live in Ski’ is presented on limited oxblood red vinyl and features an etching on Side B.

«De Mysteriis Dom. Sathanas» is often considered to be the most important Black Metal album of all time. The legendary Pytten can be quoted on saying "it was the next big thing after Grieg", and we couldn’t agree more. The album was released on Euronymous label "Deathlike Silence Productions" May 24th 1994, marked as Anti-Mosh 006. We are proud to honour this timeless album with the release of the 25th Anniversary Box Set with the help and support by long time Mayhem friend Finn Håkon Rødland. The Iconic Album has been remastered from the original DAT tapes by Solslottet Studio, with guidance from Pytten himself and approved by Hellhammer. The cover art and packaging will for the first time be presented as Hellhammer originally envisioned it back in 93/94, including also the lyric scroll booklet. Also included are three additional CDs with stunning artwork consisting of a rehearsal sessions in Oslo from May 1992, taken directly from tapes Euronymous made, the instrumental rough mix from Grieghallen June 1992, and the rough mix with vocals from the tape Attila got after the vocal recordings in April/May 1993. The most notorious black metal band of all times is back! By the power of darkness and the might of black-hearted will no two Mayhem albums have been or will be the same. Thus, the newest offering “Daemon” is unto itself. It’s not the next chapter but rather the next tome in Mayhem’s authoritative oeuvre. Composed and decomposed with the same lineup—Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Teloch (guitars), and Ghul (guitars)—that handled “Esoteric Warfare” and performed “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” in its entirety over the last few years, “Daemon” also isn’t a retrofit of classic songs like “Freezing Moon,” “Pagan Fears,” or “Buried by Time and Dust.” That’s what the live album, “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive” (2016), was for. “Daemon” is a chance for change, for new hells to be envisioned and offered.

"De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" was the first full-length studio album by the Norwegian black metal band Mayhem - Now available as a Music Cassette!
Songwriting began in 1987, but due to the suicide of vocalist Per "Dead" Ohlin and the murder of guitarist Øystein "Euronymous" Aarseth, the album's release was delayed until May 1994. De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas is widely considered one of the most influential black metal albums of all time.
A Tribute To Mayhem – Originators Of The Northern Darkness
Originally released in 2001 by the italian cult label Avantgarde Music, this tribute compilation to the one and only originators of Norwegian Black Metal contains coversongs by bands like: Emperor, Immortal, Gorgoroth, Absu, Dark Funeral, Carpathian Forest, Seth, Limbonic Art, Vader, Keep Of Kalessin, Gehenna and Behemoth
All songs recorded between 1999 and 2000 in various locations on this dead planet.

"De Mysteriis Dom. Sathanas" was recorded at "The Grieg Memorial Hall" 92/93.

The box-set omits the "Rehearsal Skippergata, February 10th 1992", because it was found that apparently the tracks come from the Møllergata Rehearsal, it is unknown if the tape was labelled incorrectly, or it was fabricated, as the collector that The True Mayhem Collection got it from is deceased.

Nevertheless, MAYHEM would not be MAYHEM, if this musical creation would do without own composed songs. In addition to named cover versions, a brand new track called “Voces Ab Alta” was recorded to continue the musical journey alongside previously released tracks “Black Glass Communion” and “Everlasting Dying Flame”, which were used as bonus tracks for the 2019 album “Daemon”. The EP comes as a 180g LP format which features a two-sided cover artwork and two-page insert, as well as a Ltd. CD Digipak with sleeve and 12-page booklet.
