The unlikely origins of the Costa Rica and German based band UMBRA CONSCIENTIA, return with their second album; Nigredine Mundi, yet again released by Terratur Possessions.
In 2019 the band came out of the blue and blew people away with their relentless, punishing debut; Yellowing of the Lunar Consciousness. With hints to bands like FUNERAL MIST and KATHARSIS, you should know what to expect. The band swiftly gained a following with superb feedback all around, and now, two years later, it's time for a follow up.
What to expect? The same, yet I would dare say this album is toned down a smidge in terms of speed, and thus a tad heavier than its predecessor.
The band has yet again delivered an agressive, heavy, hard hitting, pitch Black Metal album and there's no holding back.
The band will play their debut gig at the notorious BEYOND THE GATES Festival in Norway this year (2022).
USBM in the vein of Isvind, Helheim and Arckanum. Despite this simple description, "II" is a massive and memorable work that goes way beyond the mentioned influences and displays an ancient character of its own. Absolutely recommended.

Ruadh's sophomore album contains six tracks of epic, Scottish Atmospheric Black Metal with Folk elements that are massive in both scope and scale, taking you through the Iron Ages in Scotland. It also explores the history and mythology of the people of Scotland, conveying both sorrow and uplifting, almost heroic tones.

Ruadh mastermind Tom Perrett, hailing from Rutherglen (also known as the red glen) in the central belt of Scotland, looks to forge a sound akin to the classics he has always enjoyed, such as Bathory, Burzum, Windir and Emperor. However, Ruadh’s sound will also appeal to fans of newer Atmospheric Black Metal bands such as Saor, Winterfylleth and Panopticon.

Pure old school Death Metal recorded in 1989 at the legendary Sunlight Studio. ?Time Shall Tell? is the ultimate expression of Therion?s Death Metal relevance and this recording is as brutal, sinister and abstract as anything from the early Swedish Death Metal scene. While their Stockholm contemporaries were busy pounding out punk-based riffs, Therion sounded like they were orbiting the gravitational field of a supernatural vortex. The band?s Hellhammer/Celtic Frost influences have been over-matched by their Possessed and Morbid Angel influences, to great effect. This was the band?s first experience in the legendary Studio Sunlight. ?Time Shall Tell? was recorded in December 1989, almost exactly the same time as ?Left Hand Path?. Therion were never derivative of Nihilist/Entombed, the best parallel is with Grotesque, who recorded (part of) their ?Incantation? EP in the same studio a few months later. Both bands had an evil, twisted sound with lots of tempo changes and some keyboards. Therion never sounded as wild or extreme as Grotesque, but they were heavier and more disciplined. Both EP?s feel like they?re tapping into an alternative vision of early Scandinavian Death Metal. These four songs are the most evolved, complex compositions the band had made until that point. In any case, they sound better, noisier and more abrasive in their original form. Skogsberg got it right on his first attempt. The great thing about music like this is its unpredictability. Death Metal as disorientating and dark as this is a rare beast. Rarely does a band express themselves in ways that resemble what Therion did here. ?Time Shall Tell? is pure in freedom of expression, and thus stands the test of time.

Only one active member in this project, Rats who is also involved in two other projects: "Suicide Circle" with the illustrious boss of French Black Metal, Meyhnach, produced and distributed by Osmose productions and Dhärnürgh which remains an independent alternative project.
The new album "Occult Sins, New Unholy Dimension" follows the path of Morguiliath and respects the ethics of Black Metal 80/90's, associating Thrash / Black Metal riffs without forgetting an unhealthy and abysmal atmosphere.

Black metallers LUCIFER'S CHILD and MYSTIFIER have partnered up for a Greco-Brazilian split release on Agonia Records.
George Emmanuel (ex-Rotting Christ), who co-launched LUCIFER'S CHILD in 2013, commented: "After almost a year and half of isolation and profound research, we gave birth to a new seed of evil, 'Under Satan's Wrath'. For the last two decades, Portuguese Black Metal have been carving its unhallowed dagger in the heart of the Underground with a myriad of entities devoted to the darkest, most ignominious edges of such Sacred Art. One of the most emblematic and infamous hordes spawned from that cluster of void were satanic mercenaries Infernüs. Handling its heinous path for almost 20 years, the group have summoned an array of demos dating back to the early 2000s, vicious onslaughts that hatched a cult status to the band and left a trail of chaos and destruction in the cauldron of the Underground of said times. After a last 2007 recording and a series of memorable live rites, Infernüs vanished towards an unfathomable slumber, a silence which left a cloud of uncertainty on the minds of devotees of the group’s malignant fire and one which in 2016 ceased to persist after an astounding return, on a special occasion. Emerging from the infernal pits of Hell, Infernüs engraved its trail of blood and putrid flesh at the Invicta Requiem Mass I, a distinct ritual with fellow Portuguese nefarious ensemble Mons Veneris. Recorded for posterity, the ceremony cast on a bleak October night in 2016 was a memorable primeval assault which presented the band in full strength with its imperial blast of madness and diabolical fervor for delight of a pack of rabid adherents under the spell of its infernal hounds. During the 45-minute strike, the Portuguese titans have gathered a roast of new anthems of satanic fanaticism and dreadful hymns from the dark past that painted the walls in blood and brought forth the fire and death worship of pure unprecedented sacrilegious might. The blast of every expelled word endorsed a frenzy of devilish and chaotic possession from the blazing crowd, a reaction and assent that attested the charisma of the arrangements, combined with a rhythmic display of power and skill, the dynamic backbone to such psalms’ strain and potent edge and one which is here captured with outright power and vibrancy. The ungodly hymn Cristo em Chamas stands as a highlight of an infernal performance and evening of boundless, blasphemous Black Metal, a profane sermon attesting the strength and craft of the Portuguese scenery and one of its most charismatic forces. Released on a joint conspiracy between Harvest of Death and Purodium Rekords on a 12” LP edition, limited to 300 copies (100 white vinyl, 200 black vinyl), Live at Requiem Mass I stands as an uncanny testament to the revenge of the bloodlust behemoth Infernüs, a night of absolute worship to the Black Arts, carved for the next thousand years of darkness and ruin.
Hailing from the Basque country of Spain, the wretched entity called SEPULCHRAL crawled out of the coffin in 2016. Main composer, Dusk, gathered some ghouls to deliver an unrelentless form of putrid metal of death in the form of 2 demos and one EP. Now SEPULCHRAL arise from the tomb with their first full-length, packed with catchy, putrid, crusty death metal that will make you jump from your coffin!
Turkey may seem an unlikely land for Death Metal of supreme quality to hail from (at least for those who are not yet aware of its brooding underground scene), yet it is home to many of the finest acts of the genre historically and currently.
One of these heavyweights are DIABOLIZER whom have returned from the depths to follow their 2016 EP with a debut full length. Blisteringly heavy from the very onset with a ruthless set of tight guitar work, technical yet old school atop a mountainous array of blasting drum work with such ferocity that all temples will shake in the sonic fury of DIABOLIZER.
The rupturing vitriol of the vocals is equally daunting with the full band delivering such a precise and extreme example of Turkish Death Metal that happily lives up to the legacies of the scene, unsurprisingly as the whole band features in a plethora of other superb bands too.
This cavernous and punishing album punches in with a full 47 minutes of superior Death Metal artistry that conjures Lovecraftian visions with tormenting brutality and uncompromising quality that will severely injure all whom do not approach this monolith of creatively diverse and utterly obliterating music carefully.
