Six-track ride into grim, emotive black majesty, bound and influenced by raw northern blooded black metal and pagan roots. Refined, yet pure to their core, it comprises some of the most mature material written in the bands existence. Yet again, every step of the way, they musically hover in the same direction as the previous albums. "Geistes Unruh" (spirit's unrest) remains more clear & focused, provided with strong melodies, striking drumming, and an unfaltering voice.

With Skuggflock (Shadowpack). The third offering. Stilla returns with yet another monumental recording that reeks of aggressive, beautiful and melancholic metal. After two years of silence Stilla now slightly moves out from the shadows and once again we get the opportunity to experience the very typical rugged Stilla sound we first heard on their 2013 album Till stilla falla. Here blended with inspiration and emotions not far away from what the prog-rockers Goblin achieved with D. Argento in the 70's.
Stilla has always created their own unique style of Scandinavian Black Metal where the sound more then seldom travels into the nostalgic 90's mid era.

After years of silence, the somber black doom metal troupe Ordo Obsidium return with their sophomore full-length A Crooked Path to Desolation. With the addition of a new drummer and vocalist, Crooked Path… presents a tortuous evolution to the band’s funereal black foundations by incorporating avant-garde and death metal influences. Concise and dynamic, the result is a unique and complex melodic journey unlike anything else, vaguely recalling subtle hints of early Katatonia, Paradise Lost, Arghoslent and Ved Buens Ende. In this respect, A Crooked Path to Desolation casts a shadow over the mass of uninspired and derivative metal being spewed forth from the fading darkness of the underground. Recorded by the late, great Jef Leppard and mixed and mastered by Salvador Raya, the album features a lush and murky atmosphere complimented by the demented artwork of Maxime Taccardi. Ultimately, there can be no doubt that Ordo Obsidium have set themselves apart from all of the trends plaguing extreme music in these darkening days.

After two well received demos, Dutch black metal trio FLUISTERAARS make their official debut statement. "Dromers" comprises three epic-length tracks that take the listener on a winding, windswept journey through the catacombs of ancient black metal mysticism. Like the fading rays of the sun during the change of seasons, as autumnal splendor gives way to wintry majesty, FLUISTERAARS' Dromers conjures visions both familiar and foreign, both immediate and distant.
