COINCIDING WITH THE TWENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY OF GODKILLER’S FINAL FULL-LENGTH ALBUM OF DARK METAL WITH INDUSTRIAL & ELECTRONIC ELEMENTS.
Formed in 1993 & hailing from Monaco, Godkiller was the vision of multi-instrumentalist & sole founding member, Duke Satanaël, who between 1996 & 2000 released an EP & 2 studio albums under the Godkiller name, commencing with the black metal cult classic debut 'The Rebirth Of The Middle Ages'.
Though initially more a death metal inspired act in the formative years, Godkiller quickly developed into a project fully engulfed in the spirit of 1990s black metal, bringing to mind acts like Emperor & Satyricon for the implementation of such strong atmospherics, though on later releases Godkiller incorporated more industrial & electronic elements into the compositions as part of its creative evolution.
‘Deliverance’ was Godkiller’s second studio album & final release before the project was laid to rest & ventured into a more electronic & industrially metallic direction for what could be considered a more contemporary & expressive take on Godkiller’s established brand of darkness.
Coinciding with the album’s 25th anniversary, this edition of ‘Deliverance’ is presented on CD format for the first time since its original release, including an eight page booklet with full lyrics.

DOUBLE-DISC EDITION OF THE ICONIC 1992 BLACK METAL CLASSIC FROM DARKTHRONE, INCLUDING THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY MASTER, PLUS ADDITIONAL DISC WITH COMMENTARY FROM FENRIZ.
’A Blaze In The Northern Sky’, Darkthrone's official second album, was originally released in 1992 & was without question one of the blueprints for the Black Metal scene, spearheading the evolution of the early second wave movement in Norway & beyond. It was hailed on release as an album of true scene-shifting greatness, following their more death metal focussed debut, ’Soulside Journey’.
The rawness apparent on the album (recorded at Creative Studios, the same location as Mayhem's legendary Deathcrush was put to tape), was unusual for the time & an antithesis to the usual metal production values & standards during the period. With this, Darkthrone's statement of attitude & intent was clear & their status as masters of Norwegian black metal was set.
This edition of 'A Blaze In The Northern Sky' is presented on double-disc CD format & includes the audio master created for the album’s 30th anniversary in line with the original 1992 version, plus the 2012 commentary disc from Fenriz with his recollections on the tracks & the time period.
This edition of Transilvanian Hunger marks the album’s 30th anniversary, and is presented on limited black/white corona vinyl, including a vinyl audio master more in line with the original, courtesy of Patrick Engel at Temple of Disharmony, Feb 2024
