The Atmospheric Black Metal project Autrest hails from the mountainous region of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. Founded as a solo-project in the winter of 2022, the debut album was written, recorded and produced between September 2022 and January 2023.

Autrest draws inspiration from nature, incorporating the sounds of the forests and mountains into its music to create an immersive experience. Influenced by bands such as Cân Bardd, Saor, Caladan Brood, Elderwind and Eldamar, Autrest creates powerful and introspective, nature-themed music that transports listeners to a world of misty forests and icy peaks where each song becomes new a journey.

Danish black metal force Afsky return with full-length number four simply entitled "Fællesskab", once again delving deep into the bleak, atmospheric realms that have defined their signature sound. Fællesskab reveals their most critical and emotionally charged work to date, a deeply personal voyage into the heart of Nordic black metal, where raw emotion and melodic depth keep reveling in sorrow and longing beauty.

Translating to “Community”, Fællesskab's six tracks weave a strong musical oeuvre within the Afsky canon; their walls of haunting melancholia, interwoven with vital intensity, have never been more powerful. Yet, this new work also sees the band at its sharpest in social criticism, as Ole Luk of Afsky notes:

Here, community is praised like herd animals fleeing responsibility. A parade of moral superiority, where truth is trampled in the name of consensus. Where unity means silence, and doubt is a crime. Welcome to the celebration – the curtain hasn’t just risen, it’s been torn away!

Since forming in 2009, DER WEG EINER FREIHEIT has carved out a singular place in modern black metal, blending relentless intensity with a philosophical core. Rooted in the genre’s foundations yet constantly evolving, the German quartet is known for its emotional depth, compositional complexity, and striking live presence.
On sixth album ‘Innern’, the band turns inward with devastating clarity. Each track offers a meditation on human fragility and existential transformation, shifting between blistering aggression and haunting serenity. “Marter” explores shared suffering as a path to transcendence, “Eos” imagines nature reclaiming a blood-soaked earth, and “Forlorn” becomes an intimate plea for emotional refuge, sung in English to underscore its universality. The interplay between soaring guitars, pulsing bass, and intricate percussion frames Nikita Kamprad’s visceral vocal performance with precision and raw urgency.
Produced, mixed, and mastered by Kamprad himself, the album captures both immediacy and atmosphere, placing the listener in direct confrontation with the void.
