Judas Iscariot's massive fifth album “Heaven in Flames”, originally released in 1999 on Red Stream Records and Out of Print for years, is finally available again! The forefather of US Black Metal, mastermind Akhenaten defined a sound that is still being copied today. Conceptually based on Nietzschean philosophies and filled with Nihilism and contempt for christianity, Judas Iscariot heralded a grim Black Metal sound from American shores years ahead of its time.

SORGETID exclusively play Nordic black metal, from Finland. The name SORGETID may be new, but the creator behind it isn't: Finnish underground veteran V-Khaoz, renown for such bands as VARGRAV, DRUADAN FOREST, GRIEVE, and EMBRYONIC SLUMBER among many others, stretching back to the late '90s. With SORGETID itself, V-Khaoz indeed delves even deeper (and earlier) into the '90s, presenting vintage obsidian, both style- and production-wise, that respects the now-ancient time when black metal was only made by individuals who were truly dedicated to it. "In my reality, no other kind of black metal exists," he firmly states.

“Et Hav av Avstand" is the 8th full-length studio album from the legendary Norwegian Black Metal band Taake.

It consists of four songs clocking in at 42 minutes, displaying some of the finest songwriting yet from this epic one-man band.

Fierce, but melancholy. Vigorously old-school but also progressive. retaining that unfiltered sense of unique rawness that is synonymous with Hoest’s charismatic sound and musical identity.

Taake still manages to stay relevant and at the forefront of the genre and Hoest, who plays every instrument on the album, has ensured that the album is imbued with the unique Taake sound whilst at the same time developing it further.

This is unmistakably Taake, and as always, an intense work that surprises and enthrals.

Added clarity, strength and force makes obvious there are exceptional qualities in the album. Now that especially guitar sound is clearer it underlines musical qualities that are present. Riffs, melodies and song structures of this mighty opus surpass basically any contemporary Finnish Black Metal efforts by far. Same could be said about international situation. It is light years ahead of many currently popular "atmospheric", "raw", "post-" black metal releases that gather attention of wider public.

Firmly devoted to Divine Evil, fanaticism of Numinous sets them apart from bands with generic solutions. As their lyrics, also music radiates the very essence. It is timeless.

This work, both musically and lyrically, is completely imbued by the Divine Evil, our living God and Lord. Very rarely is His presence in music so strong and pure as it is here. Death Metal icons INCANTATION prepare the masses for their new album, Unholy Deification, via Relapse Records. Edified over three-plus decades of experience, Unholy Deification is the group's 13th full-length album. Validated by peers seasoned and new, INCANTATION are more vital than ever - the lineup, featuring founding guitarist/vocalist John McEntee, drummer Kyle Severn, bassist Chuck Sherwood, and guitarist Luke Shively, displays death metal know-how and the power of determination.

Since 1988, CANNIBAL CORPSE have been at the forefront of death metal, shaping and defining the genre. In 2021, they raised the stakes again with Violence Unimagined. And in 2023, the band's thirty-fifth anniversary, they return with its successor, the equally monstrous Chaos Horrific, starting a new chapter in their storied legacy.

Written shortly after the conclusion of the Violence Unimagined sessions, echoes of that album exist in Chaos Horrific. "To me, this album feels sort of like a continuation of Violence Unimagined," says bassist Alex Webster. Rutan has now produced six CANNIBAL CORPSE albums, starting with 2006's Kill, and this is Rutan's second release as a full-fledged member, since officially joining in 2020. Tracking at Rutan's Mana Studio in Florida, the band's home state, was comfortable for all involved, who were at the top of their game and ready to give it their all. Things went smoother than ever, particularly on the guitar front thanks to Barrett and Rutan having.

The album artwork by longtime collaborator Vince Locke is also suitably CANNIBAL CORPSE-esque, featuring a chaotic tangle of the living and the undead, evoking the lyrics of the title track.
