Ufomammut formed in the late ’90s by Poia (guitars, FXs) and Urlo (bass, vocals, FXs, synths), rising from the ashes of past band Judy Corda, together with Vita (drums). With Levre taking over on drums in 2021, the band has undergone a rebirth, culminating in the release of the album Fenice and the Crookhead EP. Over the course of twenty-five years, the band has developed a unique sound that combines heavy, dynamic riff worship with a deep understanding of the psychedelic tradition in music. This has resulted in a cosmic, futuristic, and technicolor sound that fully immerses listeners. The band has produced ten records along with various other releases, such as compilations, EPs, and live albums.

Now, in 2024, as they celebrate their quarter-century milestone, the band is set to release their latest album, Hidden. This album marks a shift in the band’s musical composition, aiming for a more intense and heavy sound, and it’s the third release featuring Levre as the band’s new drummer. The title reflects the concept of the presence of everything in existence and the ability to bring to light what lies within.

With Hidden, Ufomammut delves into a sonic journey that traverses vast expanses of space and time. From the crushing heaviness to the haunting melodies, from the textured compositions to the otherworldly atmospheres, it testifies to the never-ending evolution of the band and their mastery of creating immersive sonic experiences: a fitting celebration of their twenty-five years of sonic exploration and experimentation.

2024... More than 30 years after its infamous creation, the black heart of Mütiilation is still pumping its poison. Risen from the ashes, unexpected for decades. Meyhnach, in his unpredictable wisdom, resurrected the legend and brought back Mütiilation to the earthly plane to deliver its 7th spawn. A dark masterpiece of black metal that surpasses the hopes of the mortals. Black Metal Cult is certainly the culmination that punctuates Mütiilation’s career. 2020 saw the construction of “Apocatastase,” recorded and mixed by George Emanuel (Rotting Christ, Lucifer’s Child) with cover artwork from Khaos Diktator Design, the band’s most ambitious and grandiose project to date. The nakedness of black metal reflected in the mirror of the Devil. The ritual is undressed in the intense sophistication of a journey outside the reality of appearances.

Sometimes in a band's history, there's a moment where the calm comes after the storm – when their first output burns brightly, making itself almost impossible to compete with. To simply repeat it would be a mistake, so it's time to change. A significant change, but not in the core of the music, just a change in tonalities, from harsh to smooth, from pained to beautiful…

This is not the case with Acathexis.

Jake, Dany & Déhà return with their searing style of atmospheric black metal. Like the ebb and flow of the human experience, light-speed blast beats interweave with introspective passages to express a flurry of emotions and energy, with heartrending screams, harsh guitars that veil solemnity, produced triumphantly but with the mark of each member imprinted clearly upon it. They haven’t changed, and they have much more to say with the sound which has become their signature.

TOXODETH ‘Mysteries About Life and Death’ 1990 cult debut album finally re-issued and completely remastered by guitar player and founding member Raul Guzman. Toxodeth was (and is) one of the very first extreme death black metal bands from Mexico, formed in 1985. Massive booklet remake by RaDesign (Possessed, Sacramentum, Varathron). As bonus comes the demo ‘Phantasms’ from 1988.
