Atmospheric metal champions DEKADENT announced the release of their 5th full-length album titled via Dusktone.

More than four years since their last full-length offering, DEKADENT are now ready to unleash the aptly titled “THE NEMEAN ORDEAL”.

Following suit to their previous release, the Slovenes are walking down a darker and more difficult path.

To illustrate the album’s character, frontman Artur Felicijan noted that “It’s far heavier than our previous work, melody and composition-wise. I really wanted to go the extra mile with The Nemean Ordeal, to showcase what we’re capable of.”

Indeed, the album songs sound more complex and technically advanced, while still retaining that typical sound DEKADENT are known for. “The combination of gritty and darker elements with uplifting melodies really brought us on another level of musical atmosphere. It sounds quite epic and it is the first time I am so satisfied with the final result” added the band’s vocalist.

The album was being recorded in a long series of sessions throughout much of the past year as the band was busy honoring stages throughout Europe. The mastering duties were handled once again by Tryptikon/Dark Fortress fame V. Santura in his Woodshed Studio in Germany.

Dekadent is a ferocious, yet exquisite and ethereal black metal of unique kind.

Otherwise new and otherwise mysterious, WAMPIRVS SINISTRVS hail from parts unknown. With such a moniker, it's only suitable that the entity's spiritual locale is some desolate castle, deep in the dungeon, residing in a coffin until the call of the night awakens its hunger and lust...

Indeed, WAMPIRVS SINISTRVS honor the ancient ways of '90s black metal vampirism, back before circus clowns ruined anything qualified as "vampiric" - when revered cults like France's Vlad Tepes and America's Black Funeral held sway over the diehard and dedicated. Blood of the Vampyre, as such, is thusly ruinous nostalgia ripped asunder: it seeks to supplant the rosiness of remembered times for ones rife with rot, decay, and general antagonism. This is utterly grim, remorselessly raw BLACK METAL for those who still march to the black holocaust and the throne of the beast - for those lost in time, out of time, their thirst for blood unquenched. That the record is thematically inspired by the 1922 expressionist film classic Nosferatu, Eine Symphonie des Grauens further underlines its exquisitely mildewed nature.

Static Abyss’ debut studio album, ‘Labyrinth of Veins’, presents an unnerving, multi-layered eerie concoction of dirty doom and death, including themes exploring the echoes of insanity manifested through human existence. The result; a sinister onslaught of at times slow and bludgeoning brutal metal whilst at others whipped into a storm of chaotic vile hysterics. The spirit of Autopsy is at times present in the truly titanic riffs swathed in chilling atmospheric guitar leads, whilst Chris’ seemingly bottomless pit of morbid inspiration from the dark & twisted corners of life permeate the release with his highly distinguishable delivery to further the descent into madness.

Second album.
While it is certainly a progression from their debut album, ‘Wounds’ perfects the crushing doom of their previous work. More than ever, bassist/ vocalist Tiffany Strom’s voice is on full display as it evokes a unique poignancy that drives the band through seven emotionally devastating tracks.

With their new EP "Til Nord" (Eng.: "Northward") legendary Norwegian folk rockers Gåte achieve a stunning transformation. The band from Trøndelag, the area surrounding the ancient harbour city of Trondheim, is delivering an emotive, epic collection of tracks revisiting some of their own classics and adding a new track as a taste of great things to come.

What Gåte have done to their songs is both breathtakingly bold and amazing to hear. The first single and opening track 'Kjærleik' is the perfect example of how they have reimagined their sound. Taking away keyboards, electric guitar, and rock drumming, Gåte have added an archaic percussion style and used acoustic instrumentation. Gunnhild Sundli, has stripped some of the technical complexity from her singing style and placed emphasis upon folk attitude and expression. In stylistic terms, we see a shift from their energetic folk rock to a darker, more down to earth, Norse-atmospheric folk expression.

Gåte were founded in 1999 by violin player and keyboardist Sveinung Sundli, recruiting his sister Gunnhild as singer. Sveinung's violin and Gunnhild’s folk song technique “kveding” brought to the sound a firm base in traditional music, which was complemented and contrasted by modern bass, drums, and electric guitars. The resulting folk rock blows both minds and ears!

Official reissue of both legendary demo’s from the Swedish 80s black/thrash metal undergound legends MEFISTO.

1986: Next to mighty BATHORY, MERCILESS, OBSCURITY and later MORBID and NIHILIST, MEFISTO were one of the first bands, which proudly hold high the flag of extreme metal underground in Sweden. Although they never made it out of the underground, these two demos are a testament to how vibrant and active the scene was in the 80’s. A scene that would cause a sensation, especially in Sweden, just a short time later…
