Excerpt from InvisibleOranges.com
(..) "It’s all the work of one Vladimir. The maestro has found a groove in black metal that is both sorrowful and hopeful and at times borrows from the heathen and depressive genres. He continues to explore its contours on “The Snow Shall Fall A Long While,a new song from Sivyj Yar’s forthcoming album Burial Shrouds . The track is by turns bleak and beautiful, and more than ever, Sivyj Yar sounds bright—those guitar leads pop. Paired with that incredible cover art, I can’t help but think of the type of grim determination known only to those who live in particularly cold climates, where the promise of spring keeps you going like light at the end of the tunnel"
With the highly revered Norwegians remaining ever-dedicated to the art of the riff after 35 years of existence, Darkthrone returns for album number nineteen and a new dose of Metallic godliness. On the back of 2019’s triumphant Old Star opus, the duo of Nocturno Culto & Fenriz present a 41 minute maelstrom of Epic Black Heavy Metal across five sprawling compositions. Organic and dynamic, the album is an exploration of the finest vintage Metal and the best of Doom, all delivered in the unmistakable Darkthrone style (whilst also incorporating instruments such as the Moog to further expand upon these soundscapes).
Eschewing the process of using their own Necrohell II studios - which has served the band so well over the last 15 years - and welcoming a change of environment and the opportunity to experiment with new ideas, Eternal Hails…… was recorded at Chaka Khan Studio in Oslo, and engineered by Ole Ovstedal and Silje Høgevold, breathing new life into the sound while retaining the essence of Darkthrone’s natural, raw feeling.
The cover artwork features the piece Pluto and Charon (1972), from renowned science fiction artist David A. Hardy; a hugely inspirational image for both Fenriz and Nocturno Culto spanning several decades, and this also stands as a symbolic link between the genre-bending styles apparent on Darkthrone’s earliest works, to those same traits evident on Eternal Hails….
Third album of Finnish black metal band Goats of Doom. They have been taking huge step forward from the last album with their traditional Nordic black metal. Catchy melodies, some clean vocals and cold atmosphere.

Finland’s death metal pacesetters Corpsessed celebrate their fifteenth anniversary with the release of brand-new album Succumb To Rot on Dark Descent Records.
The unholy union of Corpsessed and Dark Descent Records, that began with 2011’s highly acclaimed The Dagger & The Chalice EP, endures to this day. Both entities have since gone to transform the shape of the death underground as one know its, carving out a unique niche reserved only for true old school zealots. With a steady line-up of seven years in place, and a strong foothold on the top of the death metal hierarchy, Corpsessed deliver an arrogantly superior milestone of atmospheric old school death metal enveloped in existential dread.
“One circle closes only for another to begin anew. This is the logical conclusion to Impetus Of Death where the limits of human existence gives us a push to even do things in life (art being the pinnacle)—Succumb To Rot is the inevitable end where all things must eventually die and give into the relentless forces of entropy, and disintegrate into nothingness,” reflects guitarist M.M..
The mentally distressing artwork by Vladimir “Smerdulak” Chebakov also continues a tradition of exceptional Corpsessed album covers.
• Cryptic death metal from Finland
• Highly awaited follow-up to 2019’s Impetus Of Death
• Striking cover art by Vladimir Chebakov
• For fans of Incantation, Dead Congregation, Krypts and Grave Miasma

First time on CD! - New Stereo Mix and Master.
Classic Jewelcase Edition w/Obi-Strip
„Eventyr", the debut record by Norwegian folk-act Byrdi, shows the work of two musicians, creating the first touch of something bigger than we – as humans – are. On the occasion of the band's tenth anniversary, Eisenwald re-releases the album digitally and – for the first time – on CD.
Since the first version was unintentionally released in mono, now the record got a stereo treatment – newly mixed by former band member Jørn Øyhus in his own Bergart Studio and mastered by Greg Chandler (Priory Recordings). It features a stunning artwork by David Thiérrée and a new, expanded layout, created at House Of Inkantation, with archival footage from the phase while the album was recorded.
With „Eventyr", Byrdi delivered a fresh take on nordic folk – authentic, handmade, emotive, and unique. A reflection of personal spirituality, seen through the lens of nature and lore. Now fans of dark, hypnotic music, who like to indulge themselves in the melancholic beauty of moody acoustic guitars and chants, can finally take their chance to add this 2014 released gem to their collections – in its definitive version.
Solid sleeve, heavy stock insert, black paper inner sleeve with a protective layer, designed download card for the digital album.
Conceptually, "Les nuits de Gethsémani" explores three pictures of a man stepping into the night, with bare feet, on the Mount of Olives. The three movements showcase a staggering ability to convey emotion through the power of composition, as elements of myth, sin, death, sun, and blood are juxtaposed to form an engrossing whole. Précieux Sang is interested in religious sentiment, tragedy, and abjection. Rejecting the more widespread fascination of their contemporaries with the occult, Précieux Sang is more interested in the exoteric aspect of religious experience: the Sacred rather than the secret. Considering that this is the band's first release, there is an impressive depth to the songwriting on display, with each track flowing effortlessly from passages of high-paced, frenetic yet never out of control chord based riffing to gargantuan mid-tempo sections as well as calmer, meditative sections, with a highly emotive vocal performance perfectly complimenting the glorious melodic shifts in the guitars throughout.
The production of "Les nuits de Gethsémani" is of particular note, with mixing and mastering duties handled by Xavier Tehom in March 2021 in Montréal, these songs sound incredibly clear and dynamic, without losing the passion and essence of the performances in plastic studio trickery. The sonic force on display in these three tracks is something to behold, offering a rich texture that showcases these three songs in a way complimenting the music and certainly warranting repeated listens
