Based upon the 1820 Gothic novel 'Melmoth the Wanderer' by Charles Robert Maturin - and closely connected in style and atmosphere to 2021's initial instalment "Triade I: Eos" - each of the 6 brutally melodic tracks follows the book's chronological mid-point narrative in a dazzling critical examination of theism and scepticism through the medium of top-tier Black Metal.
Although conceptually aligned with part one of the trilogy, "Triade II: Hemera" further-advances the AARA sound into realms of progressive extremity: defined once again by the beauteous lead melodies of composer/guitarist Berg, the record combines a raw violent undertow with subtle rhythmic shifts, left-field riffs/refrains and sublimated vocal savagery - interweaving Christian choirs, the Jewish shofar horn and traditional Indian vocal samples into yet another outstanding offering from an unstoppable young band overflowing with ideas and confidence.

For its 30th year anniversary here comes the first proper LP reissue of Svartfråd, the legendary mini-album composed by Ildjarn and Nidhogg. Originally released by Norse League Productions on MCD, Svartfråd is the essence of the Primitive Norwegian Black Metal which marked an era: as of today, this material is still revered by both old and new generations. Intended to be entitled Gravbergets Svarte Dyp, "The Black Deep of Grave Mountain", this EP from 1996 sees the light for the first time in its original form with a totally restored layout, never seen pictures found in Nidhogg personal archives and with lyrics transcribed from Ildjarn handwritten originals. Everything is perfectly crafted with a special etching on B side and remastered audio.

After being long sold out, Norse is finally being officially reissued as a deluxe edition, after more than 30 years!

With his second official full-length, "The Funeral of Being" (2003), XASTHUR mastermind, multi-instrumentalist, and singer Scott Conner aka Malefic walked further down the harsh, raw, frightening, and yet also melancholic path that set his band apart from most of the US black metal scene. Despite its unique and solitary approach, "The Funeral of Being" is still widely held to constitute a cornerstone and classic of the American underground. XASTHUR were originally conceived by Scott Conner in California, USA in the year 1995. The project started out in the vein of bleak black metal in the tradition of the Nordic second wave. Over the course of nine albums and a host of split-singles, EPs, and occasional demos, XASTHUR's individual, particularly depressive style became highly regarded within the extreme genre. In 2010, Scott announced the end of XASTHUR and returned with an acoustic dark folk project under the banner of NOCTURNAL POISONING. In 2015, the American artist returned to the name XASTHUR, but insisted that his black metal days were over. On his so far latest album, "Inevitably Dark", XASTHUR have partly lifted the self-imposed ban on black metal, simply because Conner felt like it and therefore did it.
