Selling CD - Extreme Metal and Dark music
To fans of black metal, Dødheimsgard need no introduction, being as they are one of the great purveyors of the Norwegian Black Metal creative evolution. The band was formed in 1994 by Aldrahn (Thorns, The Deathtrip) and Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende). The early incarnation was that of a raw and at times melodic black metal band, with their debut album also featuring Darkthrone’s Fenriz on bass.

DEATHSPELL OMEGA “The Furnaces of Palingenesia” CD/LP
11 songs, 45 minutes, recorded live and mixed on analog gear, 2018
Originally formed in the year of the millenium under the name Hrapp and several demos later, it was in 2005 when the Danish Black Metal trio changed its name into LIGFAERD. Following a line-up change, numerous EPs, splits as well as two full-length albums, live appearances such as at Metal Magic Festival, the band quickly began to receive high praise in the underground Black Metal scene. Today, LIGFAERD are finally presenting us the first details about their third album titled ‘Den Ildrøde Konge’, which is set for a release on March 15th 2019 with Berlin-based Vendetta Records! In the band’s tradition the lyrics do not only come in Danish, with ‘Den Ildrøde Konge’ LIGFAERD are continuing their path on the darkest art of metal and deliver a fierce beast of pure evil, the band’s strongest and most compelling work to date.

Infused with the same spirit as the preceding EPs, with Into the Wild VOODUS has honed their craft to its most fierce and finessed essence. This record is indeed a wild and winding ride through the murky depths of starkly melodic yet crypt-pure black metal. Their sound is staunchly rooted in the 1990s - with ice-cold melodies racing across the searing surge of black metal – but breathes a refreshing sense of dynamics and pacing. VOODUS does not engage with the blast-a-thons of old, the indiscernible blur of one song protracted over 30-plus minutes. Instead, the quartet unloads expert compositional variety here, with memorable melodicism constantly at the forefront - all of it framed in a clear and cutting production courtesy of the esteemed Necromorbus Studio. And it's a truly epic experience clocking in at 61 minutes, allowing the listener's wanderlust to truly run wild.
Collector's Edition in 8-panel Digipack, limited to 1000 copies.
The new album shows Nasheim from a more matured and contemplative side. The harsh Black Metal outbreaks are not altogether gone but they do leave more room for quieter parts where violin, cello and even the occasional clean vocals are allowed to take center stage. Still, the music is immediately recognizable as Nasheim, so unique has the sound become at the very least since "Solens Vemod".
With the second album, Can Bardd take a huge step forward from the already very good debut album. Improved songwriting as well as an excellent production this time around solidify the Can Bardd's ambition to stand proudly in the Atmospheric Black Metal olymp alongside bands like Caladan Brood, Summoning, Sojourner, Elderwind, Eldamar or Pure Wrath.
Collector's Edition in 6-panel Digipack, limited to 500 copies.
