German black metal Band DYSANGELIUM unleash their debut album, Thánatos Áskesis.As prefaced by Leviaxxis, the sound of Thánatos Áskesis can rightfully be described as tyrannical: swift and strategic, roiling and rumbling, surging and striking, DYSANGELIUM exude a startling confidence and authority beyond their young years as a band. The nine songs here righteously uphold the banner of orthodox black metal, but the Teutonic quintet work in a dazzling array of dynamics and nuance, especially in the unique, authoritative throat of vocalist Sektarist 0: it's literally the mouth of HELL, and his bandmates follow suit with incendiary performances and muscular execution.

The fourth full-length of Neige et Noirceur sees the band return with it's raw, ice-cold and ambient Black Metal - and a few new twists along the way. While Spiritus' style remains instantly recognizable, "Gouffre Onirique et Abîmes Cosmiques" is also probably the closer the band has ever come to the "classic" sound of the early '90s, courtesy of epic and melancholic riffs and keyboard parts. Definitely a release not to miss for fans of the band and of atmospheric Black Metal.

The traditional three year wait is over, and Hoest has now completed the sixth Taake album.

"Stridens hus" takes the unique Taake sound and develops it further.
Still true to the spirit of the old Norwegian Black Metal, Hoest breathes new life into the genre by introducing different elements that ensure the sound remains fresh and relevant. Some parts are more groove and rock orientated, whilst some have a distinctly punk attitude. However, this is still unmistakably Taake and, as always, we're treated to a varied album with intense, unique and unpredictable dynamics.

il tempo ci restituisce una band con un'ispirazione che non gli si riconosceva da un paio di decenni....
suono anche decisamente aggiornato ed "europeo", con un tocco di religious black metal, pur senza abbandonare le affascinanti caratteristiche dell'immortale "sound alla Greca"
