After the first album “Corona De Frastimus” (2009), Sardinian Native Black Metal veterans VULTUR came back with after six years with “Ogu Liau” (2014) with a completely different line-up. Once again, the record was released by a south american label, this time from Chile.

VULTUR style has always been aggressive, unmerciful and fast-paced, showcasing intriguing riffs and a certain degree of dark violence. Fans of old Satyricon, Marduk, Mayhem and Immortal will find themselves pleased, as well as for the lovers of Dissection’s melodic bridges, old Rotting Christ’s evocativeness and Mortuary Drape’s rhythmic dynamism and heaviness.

The live recordings, captured in the cities of Leipzig, Munich, Aschaffenburg, Budapest, and Belfast, preserve the raw and emotive energy of their performances. Each track reflects the band’s ability to blend melancholic melodies with crushing heaviness, offering fans a visceral live experience.

On the shores of Portugal, deep in the north of the country, a creature lurks in the shadow. Vøidwomb is a black metal quintet born in 2019, which so far released a debut EP, Altars of Cosmic Devotion.

After three years in the shades, the band based in Viana Do Castelo is back to the light with their first full-length album. Spiritual Apotheōsis is a nine-track immersive black metal experience that will guide you through the inherent utter darkness of human condition and the cathartic search for enlightenment.

Mixed and mastered by Diogo Santana at Noise Portrait Studios, with a cover painting by prolific painter Daniel Hermosilla (Nox Fragor Art), Vøidwomb debut album is a record about understanding darkness and sacrificing self to reach transcendence.

35 years after their inception Nittedal-based TULUS are still going strong and return with a new album. Only three years after its predecessor, the notorious three-piece is back with their eight full-length entitled Morbid Desires which Darkness Shall Rise are very proud to be releasing.

Instead of straying from their path, Morbid Desires comprises nine tracks that continue the trademark TULUS sound. An abundance of hellishly catchy riffs moulded into concise mid-tempo songs performed by proficient musicians accompanied by Blodstrup’s grim vocals are still the main characteristics of TULUS. Having said that, Morbid Desires is by no means a one-dimensional album. Fast parts, beautifully chanted vocals, flamenco and acoustic guitars etc. woven into some of the songs provide the album with plenty of variety. “Sabbat”, the album’s closer and by far the longest track surely sticks out the most. Undeniably conceived as a tribute to BLACK SABBATH the song is nothing short of amazing and impressively proves the outstanding musicianship of TULUS’ members.

Produced by frontman Ken Sorceron and mixed by renowned engineer Dave Otero (Aborted, Akhlys), "A Void Within Existence" is a scorched offering of black metal transcendence: harrowing, cinematic, and utterly uncompromising. Drums are performed by the virtuosic Mike Heller (Fear Factory, Ghost Bath), whose work here blurs the line between precision and chaos.
