This killer live recording was recorded in France during "The World Panzer Battle Tour". Originally released via Regain Records, this killer Marduk live show is finally made available again on Back On Black.

Recorded in 1992, the album delivers primitive riffs, harsh vocals, and a bleak atmosphere that marks the birth of Marduk's infernal legacy. Fierce, unpolished, and uncompromising, Dark Endless stands as a primal monument to the band's origins.

Though Marduk would later evolve into one of the fastest and most intense black-metal bands, "Dark Endles"s stands as the crucial 1st chapter: a rare snapshot of the band's formative sound, a bridge between death and black metal, and an essential piece of Swedish extreme-metal history.

Uncompromising and relentlessly grim, it remains a cornerstone release for anyone exploring the origins of Marduk's reign.

 

Austin Lunn’s journey carried Panopticon from the urban density of Louisville to the remote northern reaches of Minnesota. It is here, surrounded by a landscape both inspiring and endangered, that “Det hjemsøkte hjertet” took shape. The album follows an elder hermit in the final week of his life, interweaving childhood memories with a lament for an ecosystem transformed by modern encroachment.

Dense, atmospheric, and unmistakably cinematic, “Det hjemsøkte hjertet” (‘The Haunted Heart’) shifts from the icy aggression of earlier works into something richer and more saturated – a palette of purples and burning oranges fading into dusk. The folk instrumentation once associated with Panopticon has largely receded, giving way to tones reminiscent of Neil Young & Crazy Horse.

The metal foundation remains, but the record’s strength lies in composition rather than speed: layered arrangements, long-form dynamics, and a strong narrative undercurrent. A full orchestral presence runs throughout, with Charlie Anderson’s string performances adding both gravity and movement. Each song features a different guest vocalist – Aaron Charles (Falls Of Rauros, Rhun), Jan Evan Åsli (Vemod), and Jan 'Winterherz' Van Berlekom (Waldgeflüster) among them – introducing distinct colours without compromising cohesion.

The swelling hum of motion in a mass of bodies. KLIMT 1918 capture many such fleeting moments in time and preserve them through cascading walls of sound and the elegant drone of guitars. The Italian's fifth album, "Àmor", represents a climax of their acclaimed previous work into a most melancholic, sensual, and majestic collection of captivating music. "Àmor" was born out of silence, solitude and social distancing. Yet as a deliberate artistic counterpoint, KLIMT 1918 decided to have all their new songs revolve around carnality, ardour, physical contact between bodies, and the urgent, compelling feelings that keep people awake at night. As a crowning glory, KLIMT 1918 were artistically knighted when the legendary Tony Doogan accepted to mix 'Àmor' and Frank Arkwright (Abbey Road Studios) added his mastering genius. Both renowned engineers have previously joined forces to collaborate with such acts as MOGWAI and SNOW PATROL, and their portfolios also include such greats as JOY DIVISION, COLDPLAY, and OASIS among many others. Although it took plenty of time, diligence, and energy, "Àmor" proves with every second that the album is more than worth this long wait. KLIMT 1918 take their raw emotionality expressed in dynamic, glowing soundscapes rather than fixed structures and calculated hooks to another peak!

In a year which marks the 40th anniversary since the initial formation - under the moniker of Black Death - of what would subsequently grow into influential genre legends, 2026 marks the return of the imperishable Norwegian duo of Fenriz & Nocturno Culto for their new opus of high calibre old metal, under the banner of ‘Pre-Historic Metal’. As Fenriz himself proclaims of the title’s symbolic origin, “Prehistoric is a loose term. I just figure it’s our VIBE, our take on things & it’s more a statement that we use old style to create something new”.

‘Pre-Historic Metal’ contains eight tracks of primal epics & gargantuan riffs with organic sound & the ever-present permeating spirit of the 70’s & 80’s, for a new continuation of the mastery witnessed on 2024’s ‘It Beckons Us All’. This next chapter in Darkthrone’s extensive & ongoing catalogue presents a vast odyssey through the sonic landscapes of Thrash, Black, Heavy & Doom Metal &, adorned with a punishing & “in your face” guitar presence, Darkthrone stirs the cauldron of savage creativity with a nod to the writing methods which were indicative of their earlier works of the late 80’s, but with a more refined craft.

'Pre-Historic Metal' was recorded at Chaka Khan Studios, Oslo, with production work conducted by Ole Øvstedal, Silje Høgevold & Mads Luis. Mastering was carried out by Jack Control at Enormous Door, & Maor Appelbaum Mastering.

A descent into the most grotesque and shadowed depths of metal: For God Your Soul... For Me Your Flesh by Pungent Stench fuses visceral death metal and grindcore into a disturbing sonic mosaic.

The album shifts between ferocious bursts and sludge-soaked slowdowns, translating the macabre into pure “Gore ’n’ Roll.” Through filthy riffs and a shock-driven aesthetic, it leads the listener into an extreme reflection, suspended between black humor and a raw, unmistakable sonic violence.
