Teitanblood returns to claim underground metal’s most lawless frontier. “From the Visceral Abyss” is an all-engulfing tide of unfettered, raging chaos – where black and death metal collapse into a maelstrom of destruction. Its force is neither random nor aimless but guided by an instinct sharpened over decades.
This is Teitanblood at their most unhinged, yet wholly assured in execution. Dissonance and precision collide in monstrous, writhing riffs, underpinned by percussive violence that shifts between merciless blasting and dirge-like weight. Layer upon layer of bile-drenched vocals coil through the cacophony, forging a suffocating atmosphere of grotesque grandeur.
As ever, the album is steeped in the restless spirit of the late Finnish artist Timo Ketola, who stood as both interpreter and architect of Teitanblood’s visual world. Ketola’s oracular visions provided the scripture from which these lyrics emerged – his legacy not merely preserved but carried forth beyond the grave. The tradition of transmuting sound into imagery continues, with Dávid Glomba filling the booklet’s pages with a dense tapestry of illustrations, sigils, and hand-scribed invocations.
SHADOW KINGDOM RECORDS is elated to reissue the seminal sophomore album of Italy’s BULLDOZER, The Final Separation, on CD, vinyl LP, and cassette tape formats.
Italy's BULLDOZER is a name that commands respect and awe. In the thrash and black metal underground of the 1980s, they were the uncompromising counterparts to legends like Venom and Motorhead. Known for their raw energy and wild performances, BULLDOZER carved their niche with ferocious anthems and a chaotic aesthetic. Their frontman, AC Wild, epitomized the band's untamed spirit. They were the definition of a cult band before the term became a staple in metal lore. Simply put, there was, and is, only one BULLDOZER.
The BULLDOZER saga continued with unrelenting force with the release of their second album, The Final Separation, in 1986. From the first explosive riffs of the title track, The Final Separation cements itself as a powerhouse of relentless thrash and blackened fury. The album is a maelstrom of aggressive riffs, thunderous drumming, and AC Wild's unmistakable snarls. With tracks like "Ride Hard - Die Fast" and "We are...Italian," BULLDOZER showcased their ability to blend high-speed ferocity with anthemic choruses, creating a sound that is both punishing and infectious.
The Final Separation is a testament to BULLDOZER's ability to evolve while retaining their core essence of unfiltered metal mayhem. The production is sharper, the musicianship tighter, but the spirit remains raw and rebellious. This is an album that captures the essence of 80s metal with its unapologetic attitude and unbridled energy.
And so, The Final Separation stands as a landmark in BULLDOZER's discography, a shining example of their indomitable spirit and musical prowess. SHADOW KINGDOM is honored to resurrect this classic, making it available once more in all its unrelenting glory across all formats.
The genesis of “Benediction” can be traced to Hungary. Or more precisely, an encounter with a photography book, weathered by time, depicting rituals of the Christian faith: masses, moments of devotion to the saints, and prayers. These black-and-white photographs – which capture moments of selfless abandonment, ascetic discipline, and obedience – were veritably vibrating with the malefica inherent to Christianity. A markedly sinister presence of old crones, usually considered beacons of benevolence, appeared to make reality crack and reveal the latent image behind Catholic faith and ritual. The album’s title, naturally, should be read ambiguously.

rey Aura is ready to release Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk, a new, unpredictable journey through art and music.
Zwart vierkant: Slotstuk (Black Square: Finale, Final Piece) continues Grey Aura’s journey into the intersection of abstract art and psychological disintegration. Building on themes from their 2021 album, Zwart vierkant, the new work delves into the second half of Ruben Wijlacker’s novel, De protodood in zwarte haren. This story follows Pedro, a 20th-century Modernist painter whose attempt to dismantle physical reality through abstraction leads him to the brink of madness.
Drawn to the avant-garde movement of Suprematism, Pedro becomes captivated by Kazimir Malevich’s ‘Black Square’: an emblem of pure abstract feeling and the rejection of natural representation. To him, the painting’s void is not merely an end but a gateway to boundless artistic potential and spiritual enlightenment. Within this black square, Pedro envisions his muse, Chauchat—a Wallonian poet and the wife of another collective member. Their elusive romance reflects the essence of abstraction: an existence more imagined than tangible, always slipping beyond his reach.
As his obsession grows, Pedro convinces a group of Utrecht artists to join him in creating a Gesamtkunstwerk—a three-dimensional embodiment of the black square. His unrelenting drive pushes the collective toward bizarre tasks and even criminal acts, all in service of his radical vision. The story reaches its climax when Pedro unveils his ultimate creation: an empty void, a chilling representation of the death of the physical realm and the culmination of his artistic ideology.
Drawing inspiration from the pillars of avantgarde metal, such as Dødheimsgard and Manes, Grey Aura is one of the most interesting names in the experimental corners of extreme metal, and Avantgarde Music is proud to release their new album on CD, LP and digital on March 28th, 2025, just days before the band will present their new work on the stage of Roadburn Festival.

Autumn's Dawn is an Australian metal band formed in 2014 by two seasoned musicians, Tim Yatras (known as Sorrow, founding member of Austere, Germ and many other bands) and Matthew Bell (known as Anguish, member of Tjaktjadálvve, Skuggor among the many). Both artists were already recognized in the Australian metal scene for their involvement in various other projects before coming together to create a band that would blend elements of black metal, depressive rock, and atmospheric music. The inception of Autumn's Dawn marked a departure from the traditional black metal sound that both members were known for, aiming instead to craft music that captured a broader emotional spectrum. Their debut album, Gone, was released in 2014 via Eisenwald Tonschmiede. The album was well-received, praised for its melancholic melodies, emotive lyrics, and the seamless integration of various metal subgenres. 2020 saw the release of sophomore record Dying Ember, following which the band spent a quiet few years, before coming back with their third record, We Lost Our Hope Along The Way, scheduled for spring 2025.
In some cases, split releases do compile together random acts who have little to do with each other. But in some (rare) cases, the end result bears a greater purpose, forging an alliance in darkness if you will. Such is the case here with cult black/doom/progressive Sicilian act SINOATH, sharing this highly collectable piece of wax with fellow countrymen MALAURIU.
Both bands don’t just share Sicilian origins. Besides, compared to SINOATH whose never-ending quest started all the way back to 1990 MALAURIU is a rather ‘new’, if quite productive with already two full-lenght and a whole lot of EP and demos under its belt, act, having being active for ‘only’ ten years. So one could also argue that stylistically speaking, the two are quite different: whereas MALAURIU is more or less acquainted with black-metal, albeit a quite experimental version of it, SINOATH sound is far more old-school oriented, if as everchanging. Yet both acts are all about pushing boundaries and following a very personal path.
MŮRA. The only band of its kind in the Czech music scene. This brooding death/doom metal ensemble got together in Prague in 2020 and immediately scored with all death/doom worshippers. Their successful EP "Doom Invocations and Narcotic Rituals" was released one year later on the American label Caligari Records. MŮRA will impress you with their creeping brand of doom metal, which offers a very wide overlap into old school death metal and true heinous black metal. Although there are some faster parts as well, the band keeps the tempo mostly slow and the music has all the necessary ingredients; varied rhythms, long drawn out gloomy guitar riffs, and subtle licks that contribute unobtrusive but impressive melodies. All this is dominated by morbid vocals reciting dismal lyrics.
The B-side of the vinyl version contains bonus material from the debut demo "Doom Invocations and Narcotic Rituals".
Finnish black metal is an acquired taste. It's chaotic, noisy and pure evil.
This is a more mature release musically. The song structures have come a long way since Satanic Black Devotion, but still maintain everything this band is known for. There is definitely more of the signature intertwining guitar work, that weaves in and out amongst the chaos of the drums and ghastly vocals. It's that guitar work that takes the listener for an emotional roller coaster, especially on songs like "Burning Voice of Adoration", which has the ability to stir up absolute sadness and sorrow.
As for production, the formula is still the same. Turn everything up beyond reason and comprehension, almost to a breaking point. Seriously, prolonged exposure to this will probably make your houseplants wilt and die.

The Sinister Initiative is proud to announce that the 11-year re-issue of SHINING's infamous "8 ½" compilation has been scheduled for release in the cold month of November. This anniversary edition features the now celebrated five tracks of demo recordings on which BEASTCRAFT/URGEHAL maestro Lars Erik Frøslie added his nightmarish keyboard soundscapes, raising the bar of creepiness a few steps higher on the ladder. Meanwhile, for each composition, one specifically appointed frontman lent his very own horrifying and "feverish" ideas, guaranteeing every listener a mental downfall into the bottomless, dark depths of the human psyche.
Regarding the specific guest vocalists, Maniac (SKITLIV) and Pehr Larsson (ALFAHANNE) contributed wholly unique touches. The remaining three revered artists leapt even further into the realm of the unexpected by translating the original lyrics into their respective native tongues, offering audiences a taste of what SHINING could have sounded like if Kvarforth wasn't born Swedish: Attila Csihar (MAYHEM/TORMENTOR) therefore performed in Hungarian, Famine (PESTE NOIRE) in French and, last but certainly not least, Gaahl (TRELLDOM) in Norwegian!
