With 20 minutes of fierce yet memorable Norse Black Metal in the classic mold, Gjendød evokes the aura of 90s legends (Mayhem, Burzum, Ulver), while giving a nod to the local (Trondheim-based) acts such as Thorns and early Manes; from ugly to beautiful, from slow to fast, from freezing to burning - always on the edges of this old Norse Black Metal style.

After four quite different sounding albums as a duo, the Trondheim- based black metal band Gjendød has now returned with their 5th full-length.
It comes as no surprise that ‘Livskramper' also follows that path of constant changes, this time a ninety degrees turn, very well helped by the new drummer TK, who's most listened previous work might be the ‘Trøndertun'-session by Thorns. TK is another injection of mad supremacy into the spine of the band.
A fine and varied Black Metal album which includes a spectrum of feelings, from sheer passiveness to outraged despair, every second of the album is a life cramp.
All draped in the crushing sound recorded in the infamous NordStern studios.

Svekkelse is the sixth full-length album from the Trondheim based black metal band Gjendød. The second album as a three-piece.
Svekkelse continues where the previous album Livskramper quit, but this time, the band has turned it all up a notch. The band never worked with their compositions with such an intensity before.
The eight songs presented goes from epic to deranged, from technical to primitive, and from sheer passiveness to outraged despair.
The lyrics are inspired by dark local lore and legends, both self experienced and learned. This might be the strongest album by Gjendød to now, again draped by the crushing sounds of the infamous NordStern studios.
