“Fensterverse und Nachtgespinste” is an experimental release by MOSAIC which mirrors Valkenstijn's wide-ranging taste in music. He cites EA80 and Einstürzende Neubauten as his most important influences, who on this record are cited and re-imagined in a most unique way.
Breathing an air of urbanity and contemporariness, all songs included on this record are musical interpretations of poems by Cologne-based writer Ulrike Serowy.
Serowy's poetry is infused with a rough romanticism which can only sprout on the threshold between reality and imagination, between this world and the world behind the veil.
Her language, both dreamy and compelling, invokes images of urban and non-urban landscapes which have found their aural inkarnations in Valkenstijn's unusual compostions.
Classic Jewel-Case Edition with Slipcase and additional two-sided 24x24cm Post
Harvest is an ode to Valkenstijn's beloved Thuringian homelands. It takes us on a journey through misty woods and foggy nights, when the golden sunlight of late summer must give in to the autumnal cold that starts rising from the ground, when the warmth of summer must yield to the chilling breeze that heralds the end of the year, when the light must give in to the dark.
To complete the autumnal feast the orignal Samhain Celebration song cycle was added, which complements the early material and advance it to a full-length duration. The recordings were thoroughly reinvigorated without losing their original appeal by Valkenstijn in May MMXX at his House of Inkantation.
Atmospheric Black Metal from Germany
Divided in 2 chapters and 6 songs, "OLD MANs WYNTAR" is a conceptual album themed around the different sides of Winter, with lyrics openly inspired by the German poet Georg Trakl carefully re-written and re-composed and paired with lines of the mastermind IK.
A brilliant blend of eerie atmospheric black metal, dark ambient and haunting neo follk.
