New 2026 double-CD edition of "Drifting in the Crypt", the definitive collection of recordings made between 1989 and 2008 by legendary Finnish PHLEGETHON, one of the most interesting bands from the first generation of Finnish Death Metal. This edition contains no less than 26 tracks, gathering virtually all of the band's recorded material throughout their career: PHLEGETHON developed a dark, raw and primitive form of Death Metal that was highly characteristic of the late-80s/early-90s Finnish scene, while possessing a distinctive identity that also incorporated elements of Black, Thrash and Speed Metal. From their earliest demos through "Fresco Lungs", the evolution of a band that always retained its harsh, gloomy and deeply Underground character can be clearly followed. The later material also demonstrates that their identity remained intact despite their lengthy period of inactivity.
