SETH
La Morsure du Christ (1st press)

Live recorded at Les Feux de Beltane 2019, Bretagne, France. This limited edition digipack (500 copies only) is released to celebrate the 20th birthday of SETH’s worshipped album, “Les Blessures de l’âme”.

CD in Digipak with 16-page booklet

French black metal pioneers SETH have once again lit the flame of the early days with ‘La Morsure du Christ’, which can be seen as a sequel to their 1998 acclaimed debut ‘Les blessures de l'âme’.

Returning to their original sound, the band use French alexandrine verses in their lyrics and choose a striking image as an album art. In a world moving further away from religion and spirituality, the demise of Notre Dame de Paris symbolizes the end of the Christian reign and the ultimate betrayal of God. From the ashes of the cathedral, a godless world will come into being.

Official reissue in limited edition six panel Digipak Cd of the legendary Ep originally released in 1997 with restored original cover artwork and unreleased photos.

A masterpiece made of epic songs, furious harsh vocals, tight drumming and a strong romanticism which built the very essence of 90's Black Metal.

When SETH released their legendary debut “Les Blessures de l’Âme” in 1998 it was greeted with enthusiasm by reviewers and fans alike. The French combined harsh but melodic Black Metal with a well thought out concept on vampirism. The fiendish shrieks and rasps of vocalist Vicomte Vampyr Arkames combined with the fierce and cold buzzing of the crushing guitars delivered the ideal sound for their artistic expression. Brutal, dark and surprisingly catchy “Les Blessures de l’Âme” creates gothic atmospheres supported by intelligent keyboard textures. The album quickly gained the status of a cult classic that is hard to find as it is long sold out.

CD in deluxe Digipak with gold foil and 16-page booklet.

Hailing from the heart of French black metal, SETH presents a grim and haunting narrative with their relentless musical fury. Glazed with elements from the French Revolution, new opus ‘La France des Maudits’ takes inspiration from the very streets that bled under the guillotine’s kiss.
With ‘La France des Maudits’ SETH carve out the anthem for those rising from the ruins, the unyielding, the eternal rebels. This black metal revival offers a narrative of relentless fury, invoking the spirit of insurrection, liberation, and defiance against divine oppression. With tracks such as “Paris des Maléfices” and “Et Que Vive le Diable!”, they weave a dark tapestry of sound, showcasing their unique niche in atmospheric black metal. Anthems of resistance that echo the cries of a new age unwilling to kneel before divine decay.
Dive into the tumultuous serenade of ‘La France des Maudits’, an album that roars in the key of revolution.

The 2004 album of high-calibre extremity from the French Metal masters.

This edition of Era Decay is on CD for the first time since its original release.

A powerfully dark and at times experimental opus.

Seth formed back in 1995 and is known as being among the primary acts in the French black metal scene, with their 1998 debut, ‘Les Blessures de L’Ame’ regarded as a landmark album and a cornerstone of French Black metal since its release on the then freshly-established label, Season of Mist, with Seth becoming firmly established as an internationally recognised act as a result.

Seth went on to release a further five studio offerings over the next twenty five years, branching out into other spectrums of extreme metal along the way before returning to the more grimly-atmospheric sounds of yore.

‘Era Decay’ was Seth’s fourth studio opus, originally surfacing in 2004, and continued to establish a more brutal integration of riffing & compositional styles and ideas which was indicative of the times, whilst also still retaining some blackened metal elements among more progressively technical ingredients. With a cleaner, more cutting production, this resulted in one of the band’s heaviest outputs, with some intricate riffs and melodies.
