Norway's TARTAROS, the creative vision of EMPEROR keyboard player Charmand Grimloch, was at the genesis of symphonic black metal. Alongside CRADLE OF FILTH, EMPEROR, and DIMMU BORGIR, TARTAROS helped usher in a new wave of European metal bands who melded ice cold riffs with epic, keyboard-driven grandeur. Two long-lost black metal gems from the cult Norwegian act are finally reissued! Originally released in 1997 and 1999 respectively, the EP 'The Grand Psychotic Castle', cut at 45RPM for optimum fidelity, and the album 'The Red Jewel' are available together on transparent red vinyl in a gatefold sleeve.
