Sweden's MARDUK are not only one of the most long running and respected black metal acts out there, but also one of the most productive. The album, the band's 12th full-length release, is a testament to their burning desire to create blackened metal of the highest order. A concept album of sorts, Serpent Sermon is an unadulterated attack on all that is good, casting a heavy pall over light and love. Morgan offers, “The lyrics should speak to everybody, to realize the power contained within.
