Great things are on the horizon with the debut of French band OPPRESSION and their vehement, multifaceted, and profound black metal of the highest order!

Old buddies, scouring concert halls and bars, G.S.V (vocals) and Tom L (guitar) decided to form a band together, allowing them to control the composition and direction from start to finish. Faced with a growing number of ambient-oriented releases, they wanted to raise the tone with a very straight forward project. Speed, power, and a touch of melody (added with some healthy hate) – this is how they laid the foundations for OPPRESSION, quickly joined by Predark (guitar).
Once the composition of the first album was well underway, they brought in two well-known musicians from the Bordeaux scene to fill the positions on drums and bass: the brothers John (Otargos, Lifestream) and Désert (Lifestream). Together, they finalized this first opus "No Safe Place", ready to hit you without restraint!
OPPRESSIONs lyrics are mostly about religion and a little bit about constatation on the society evolution. Only the last song is different, dealing with sex, drugs, and rock ‘n’ roll (so as not to lose sight of the important things).
Whether it's the music or the lyrics, OPPRESSION didn't try to make something pompous or bombastic, just something frank, direct, and effective. – Hail the Oppression!

Despite being called from the grave at a time when Black Metal from Norway suddenly gained worldwide popularity, MALFEITOR always remained an obscure entity. When some of their compatriots signed record deals with international labels, the horde from Askim deliberately acted from within the deepest underground. With a short lifespan of only 2 years, the output produced by MALFEITOR is naturally rather meagre. The releases spawned between 1991 and 1992 only consist of 1 rehearsal- and 2 demo tapes and were back in the day only spread on home-dubbed tapes in very limited quantities. Devoted to Black Metal of the rather stripped-down, minimalist style similar to early BATHORY, ILDJARN or DARKTHRONE, MALFEITOR had the potential to release a great first full-length. Unfortunately, this wasn’t destined to happen since shortly after the release of the very promising second demo Pandemonium MALFEITOR returned to the shadows from which it was conjured. The member’s contribution to Black Metal wouldn`t end with the demise of MALFEITOR, though since out of the ashes STRID and MANES (featuring Vicotnik from DØDHEIMSGARD) rose.

Here is presented for the first time a proper repress of Östenbräun, a real masterpiece from 1989.
Les Joyaux De La Princesse (English: “The Jewels of the Princess”) is a French one-man industrial/ambient/neo-classical project active since 1986. The music on his releases varies from heavy industrial noise to melancholic music for organ and piano mixed with historical French speeches. Each record is a sort of small audio document focusing on a single historical event, cultural moment or important personage, usually from France in the 1930s and 1940s.

The release has been totally remastered for LP/CD for the best listening experience with a fully restored layout.
