Originally released by Norse League Productions on MCD, Svartfråd is the essence of the Primitive Norwegian Black Metal which marked an era: as of today, this material is still revered by both old and new generations. Intended to be entitled Gravbergets Svarte Dyp, "The Black Deep of Grave Mountain", this EP from 1996 sees the light for the first time in its original form with a totally restored layout, never seen pictures found in Nidhogg personal archives and with lyrics transcribed from Ildjarn handwritten originals. Everything is perfectly crafted with a special etching on B side and remastered audio.

Spikes. Leather. Over-the-top attitude. Broken English lyrics full of swear words. And manic speed/thrash riffing. Shitloads of it. Named after a giant, serpent-like demon that embodies the ancient Egyptian mythos of chaos and darkness, German death metal band APEP draws its Egyptology-laden musical cues from well-respected bands such as NILE, NEPHREN-KA, RUDRA, MELECHESH, and BEHEMOTH.

Formed in 2016 out of the ashes of CARNAGE, the trio of drummer Merlin Friedrich, guitarist Oliver Pikowski, and vocalist Christopher Fleckeisen set out to create a more technical brand of death metal, combining it with an ancient aesthetic.
