Presenting the speed metal of Dungeon Steel, with an album that careens recklessly from its incongruously calming synth intro into five tracks of hi-octane riffs and rabid vocals, unleashed with wild, wide-eyed abandon. The work of three Ecuadorian artists behind some of recent years’ most excellent black metal and dungeon synth projects which we have featured on the channel, including Wampyric Rites and Avstral Forest – Eblis Destructor, Wampyric Strigoi, and Vrolok…. …meaning this project is not all uppers. The album is dedicated to the memory of Vrolok, who recently left this earthly realm. A sad loss for the South American scene, and for us all.

Definitely the most unusual release in the whole Sivyj Yar’s discography with Novgorod gusli being the main instrument.
The artist defines this album as 'neo-medieval nocturnes' and dedicates it to Yuri Mirolyubov (1892-1970), the discoverer (well, most likely, the Author) of the mysterious 'Book of Veles', literally the main influence on the Eastern European paganism revival.

As auspicious of a start as that split was, HINSIDES reveal the full depth of their depravity with the debut album Under Betlehems brinnande stjärna. Immediately and remorselessly is the listener attacked with a necro soundfield steeped in the earliest, most fiery birth-pangs of Scandinavian black metal. Peer within that piercing sound – if you can survive the initial onslaught, that is – and you’ll discover a wealth of fascinating and fearless twists to ancient black metal tropes. Paradoxically, HINSIDES here are more melodic and magisterial than even hinted at on that preceding split; fluid like an ever-flowing stream, the riffing is harsh yet finessed, evincing an eerily hummable quality that only intensifies the strangeness Under Betlehems brinnande stjärna presents. Suitably, mainman M.A.’s vocals are unhinged and utterly feral, in no uncertain terms imparting pure devil-worship and archaic witchcraft. Which is to say nothing of the unique(ly haunting) integration of church bells…all put in service of Him.

Originally released in late 1993, A Day In The Stark Corner is the second studio album by darkwave masters Lycia (third, if you take into account the 1989 EP Wake). Despite being one of the most praised and influential releases in the field, as well as one of Projekt Records most sought-after titles, the album never received a vinyl treatment. Until today. Twentynine years after its original publication, Avantgarde Music renews its cooperation with the US band and brings A Day In The Stark Corner to a wax form for the first time ever, following the same path treaded with Cold and Ionia in recent times.

Five track mini-album of all-consuming darkness from the Italian black metal legends, Mortuary Drape. 

Mixing the best elements of classic and doom metal, Wisdom - Vibration - Repent includes a cover of Mercyful Fate's Nightmare Be Thy Name.
