‘Ofidians Manifest’ represents Kampfar anno 2019. 25 years on from their foundation, only willing to release new music if they felt it would surpass all they had done before, it is a condensation of the immense struggles of the last few years. Everything that has been hidden behind the music and the live performances is laid bare, though told in the only way the band can portray themselves, through songs. It is immensely honest yet wrapped in their own folklore, the snake tongues splitting every truth into two deeper truths, every word sung dominated by the weight of all those sung before.
Occult Doom from Berlin, formed in 2006. Their new album "Enigmatic Rites" is like a journey back through time to a more natural, authentical, yet raw sound collage without neglecting the typical Albez Duz ingredients. On the other hand, there are also some fresh elements influenced by the glorious early days of heavy metal or the time when bands used to put endless, drug-driven improvisations on their records. There’s definitely many things to discover on this album!
To fans of black metal, Dødheimsgard need no introduction, being as they are one of the great purveyors of the Norwegian Black Metal creative evolution. The band was formed in 1994 by Aldrahn (Thorns, The Deathtrip) and Vicotnik (Ved Buens Ende). The early incarnation was that of a raw and at times melodic black metal band, with their debut album also featuring Darkthrone’s Fenriz on bass.

occult black metal from denmark, feat. members of ligfaerd and serpent lair
Originally formed in the year of the millenium under the name Hrapp and several demos later, it was in 2005 when the Danish Black Metal trio changed its name into LIGFAERD. Following a line-up change, numerous EPs, splits as well as two full-length albums, live appearances such as at Metal Magic Festival, the band quickly began to receive high praise in the underground Black Metal scene. Today, LIGFAERD are finally presenting us the first details about their third album titled ‘Den Ildrøde Konge’, which is set for a release on March 15th 2019 with Berlin-based Vendetta Records! In the band’s tradition the lyrics do not only come in Danish, with ‘Den Ildrøde Konge’ LIGFAERD are continuing their path on the darkest art of metal and deliver a fierce beast of pure evil, the band’s strongest and most compelling work to date.
