Reissue of long sold out Barghest demo cassette, "Alsæla Gegnum Endurfæðingu" comes now as single side vinyl with laser etching on side B
The music creates a suffocating atmosphere of black doom, distorted, sometimes ponderous in its pacing, and crafted around bleak melodies. Interestingly, as in the case of Svartidauði, the bass often plays a prominent role in the music, and there’s some interesting black-prog guitar noise to accompany the skittering tremolo melody in the EP’s long second track, which is my favorite. The title track is also quite dynamic, with dramatic changes in pace and intensity and more of that creative guitar dissonance.

Wolves In The Throne Room re-imagined black metal as an ode to rain storms, wood smoke and the wild energies of the Pacific Northwest. Their first studio album, Diadem Of
12 Stars (2006), was a genre-dissolving classic that created a melancholy and psychedelic Cascadian atmosphere.
Since that time they have become one of the most potent and highly regarded bands in extreme music. The listener encounters crystalline metal riffs that slowly collapse
and shift into ritualistic laments, singing of endless rain falling upon ancient cedars. Their music is a doorway into a mythic ethereal heathen landscape entered through
music, magic and dreams. Now, a portal into the dreamworld of the band opens
again with Thrice Woven. It is a glorious return to the blazing and furious black metal that they alone can create!

The sole definition of Depressive Black Metal doesn't fit anymore to Falaise.
With their second effort the italian duo is ready to further cross the boundries of this genre to involve the expanding vision of post-rock and indie tunes.
This defragmented vanishing flux of emotions is well shifted on the cover, the mind and the feelings are like swallowed into the infinity of cosmos.
A tribute to Amesoeurs is performed with the cover song "Les Ruches Malades" providing a possible chance of comparision. If "As Time Goes Bye" was already an impressive and coherent collection of emotionally heart wrenching songs maturity has been achieved with "My Endless Immensity", where the different chapters seems like part of a bigger scenario.

Hailing from Chile, Lascar is back with their sophomore release, “Saudade”, an album that moves exactly along the lines of its illustrious predecessor (“Absence”, 2016), underlining once again the band’s naturalistic approach and marking a perfect syncretism of those feelings of loss, fragility and desperation that have always been LASCAR’s trademark.
Their emotional post-black metal offers a unique interpretation of the apparent conflict on the naturalistic experience. The “Saudade” implies a sense of abandon and a nostalgic mourning manifested within an artistic environment.

Thematically and sonically, BardSpec is about minimising, subtracting and meditating upon the simplest essence of “things”; the single points: exemplified through the song titles, like “Bone”, “Salt” and so on, the basic elements and foundations that make up the whole. There is an element of "space" in the music, and the artwork, as a representation of the inner workings of the mind and the subconscious.
Inspired by the German masters Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schultze, Conrad Schnitzler as well as contemporary ambient music like Norwegian one-man-band Biosphere and abstract modern electronic music like When (Norwegian also), as well as the electronic/industrial-driven metal like Godflesh.

Crushing guitars, gutteral vocals all with an eye for deadly but catchy songs made Entombed's 1990 debut not just one of Earache's all time best selling albums but virtually kick started the whole Swedish death metal scene. Unmissable.
Gatefold cover sleeve. Includes a die-cut slipcase and a poster.
Whoredom Rife was forged in silence during 2013 and 2014 in the outskirts of Nidaros, Norway. The band was founded by V. Einride and K.R in 2014, based on new ideas and ideas dating back as far as the early nineties. The idea behind the band is to breathe new life into the art form and lifestyle that we know as so called "True Norwegian Black Metal". With 'Dommedagskvad' they have clearly succeeded to combine all elements of the genre yet perfecting it their own way. It's nothing new, yet so honest, well crafted and unique sounding it's hard not to be drawn into the Whoredom Rife universe. After the highly acclaimed self-titled MLP released late last year, the expectations are beyond high for this LP.
