Nel Buio, Italian for In the Dark, is a black wave project born by Clod "the Ripper" De Rosa (Blasphemer, ex-Septycal Gorge) in the Autumn of 2023 to combine black metal and 80s darkwave. The Line up was completed by
Neil Grotti on guitars and Francesco Vellacifer on drums (both of Electrocution and Blasphemer's fame, among the many).
Avantgarde Music is glad to announce the release of Nel Buio self-titled debut EP. Frontman Clod the Ripper chose the following words to introduce the five songs composing the record: “In the shadow of the metropolis, where the echo of alienation seeps through the cracks in the concrete, our music is born. A work that reflects the isolation and hypocrisy of lives obscured by the lights of big cities. Through a feminine eye, our "pure Italian blackwave" is a manifesto for those who find beauty in decay and truth in shadows, a comfort in the darkness for the souls lost within it”.
Uncompromising, dark and sorrowful, Nel Buio debut will leave a mark on all those looking for something more than mere fury in black metal. On June 21st, let the dark guide you.

Lazer Throne’s debut full-length album, Tomb of the Lunar Oracle, opens a portal to the void with genre-bending cosmic atmospheric black metal. The journey begins at the entrance of a massive tomb orbiting a dead star, then hurtles you across time and space as you claw at neon fabric woven from melancholic, brassy synthesizers dripping with celestial blood.
Every sonic and visual element serves the underlying mythos that unfolds throughout the album. Blade Runner-esque synth passages flow into buzzy guitar textures and doomy riffs punctuated by relentless blast beats. In this concept album, the music of Lazer Throne guides you deep into the tomb and toward stars that burn their visage upon a wavering sea heaving at the loss of its moon.
Through immense, haunting soundscapes that emphasize atmosphere and meticulous sound design, Lazer Throne creates an accretion disk of new sound – a cosmic form that pulses and shimmers as it draws from dungeon synth, darksynth, and the blackened corners of doom and thrash to birth something wholly unique among the stars.

Spanish blackened death metal quartet Akouphenom is about to release their new EP, Connections To The Erebus, through Avantgarde Music’s death metal division, Unorthodox Emanations. This release marks a significant addition to the band's discography, following their 2023 debut album, Death·Chaos·Void. Formed in 2014 in A Coruña, Spain, Akouphenom is known for their fusion of blackened death metal with elements of doom and noise, aiming to reflect absolute evil in their creations
