Aorlhac is looking back to the past, to their Occitan roots, either medieval and modern, narrating the History of the south of France and north of Italy and Spain. Occitan is not only a language but also a culture recounted in French by the band: they are respectful witnesses of their ancestors’ heritage.
Sepulchral Voice, black 140g / incl. 30X30cm 12-page booklet + A2 Poster + download card, HOD´s debut album breathes an absolutely oppressive energy over 36 minutes, full of intoxication, rage and trepidation. They manage to put together all the indispensable ingredients for a grand Black/Death Metal album: mania & madness, tension & atmosphere, frenzy & melody. A manifesto of excess, suckled at the breast of Mother Darkness where your shredded dreams of humanity and a better world are served on a platter of bloody skins and sharp strings! You?ll die here, in solitude!

Iskandr, the enigmatic heathen black metal project by creator O, returns in the autumn of the year MMXXI with their third full-length album. In two albums and two EP’s spread out between MMXVI and now, the project has seen an interesting arc of development from spacious atmospheres and regal solitude towards both a more battle hardened aggression as well as elaborate acoustic instrumentation. The new album “Vergezicht” not only delivers on what these earlier releases promised but further elevates Iskandr into higher planes of compositional complexity.
Utilising a variety of electric and acoustic instruments – as well as a wide array of vocal techniques – the sound of Iskandr has ventured further into realms of monumental sonic architecture. The fruitful collaboration between O’s musical direction and engineering, and M. Koop’s foundational drumming, provides a degree of clarity and forcefulness to the record that goes well beyond anything put out under the Haeresis Noviomagi banners until now. The regal triumphalism of its MMXVIII predecessor “Euprosopon” is further expanded upon, yielding six hymns chronicling stories of heroic resistance, deceit and regeneration.

Simply put, Malediction is a statement of intent. A purely Satanic album, in the band's eyes, and one which draws a line firmly in the sand, this is pure Southern Vassaforian Hell driven to the outer reaches of primitivism and transcendence. Here, VASSAFOR strip bare their most barbaric tendencies, down to their most unapologetic form, and build anew a temple of unimaginable might. The maw of chaos opens ever wide, beckoning the listener to submit and be devoured; meanwhile, tendrils of tension untether in a manner most ambient. If any of VASSAFOR's earlier work achieved a sense of vertigo - and it surely has - then Malediction is the band's most potent distillation/distortion of such yet. Across a time-evaporating/halting 50 minutes, each of the five tracks comprising Malediction work as mantra and spell simultaneously. Doom(ier) elements are largely traded for utter violence and virulence, which somehow makes the end result all the more stultifying and psychedelic in equal measure.

Lucifer’s Hammer was a US black death metal band, active from 1986 until 2004. Part of the Michigan metal underground, they shared members with MASOCHIST and SUMMON. This LP collects all the early demos as well as a live recording at Blondies in Detroit. The sound on this material showcases the band’s beginnings a sinister death thrash unit, recommended for fans of Kreator, Sodom, and early Sepultura.
Antichrist Siege Machine was formed in 2016 as an alliance between RZ and SB. Through extensive touring along the east coast and multiple releases, the band has solidified their place as a violent force to be reckoned with. Each effort has further developed the duo’s sound, enhancing the barbarity of previous releases. The storm now approaches. Antichrist Siege Machine are prepared to release their new full length album Purifying Blade. Sustaining the unhinged violence on display on 2020’s Filth Of The World EP, they rise victorious in the temple assaulted. Each track on here is a weapon wielded by wickedness and hatred directed at the heart of Christendom. Faces of black evil, shields hardened with the cracked ribs of the dead.
For fans of Revenge, Diocletian, Black Witchery, Blasphemy, Conqueror etc.
