GRAVE
And Here I Die...Satisfied

One of the longest-running Swedish death metal bands, GRAVE has created a sound and style which has been an inspiration on a number extreme metal bands. The band started in 1986 under the name Corpse and changed it to Grave in 1988. Formed in 1986 by vocalist and guitarist Ola Lindgren, Jörgen Sandström ( ex-Entombed, ex-Candlemass (live), The Project Hate MCMXCIX,) on lead vocals and guitars and drummer Jens "Jensa" Paulsson. The band had particular success in the early 1990s, and their first four albums, Into the Grave, You'll Never See..., Soulless and Hating Life, cemented their reputation as one of Sweden's foremost death metal bands. In late 1993, GRAVE released the ‘...And Here I Die...Satisfied’, a limited edition EP featuring brand new, rare and remixed tracks encompassing the band's entire recording history. Designed to mark the end of an era for the outfit, the EP set the stage for the release of the trio's long-awaited third full-length offering. Complete booklet remake by RA Design (Possessed, Vio Lence, Varathron), including an interview by Pim Blankenstein with vocalist / guitarist Jörgen Sandström. Cover art by Axel Hermann (Asphyx, Morgoth, Unleashed).

SACRILEGE BC
Party With God

American thrash metal band from Berkeley, California formed in 1984. Originally known as Sacrilege, they added B.C. to their name in 1986 to avoid confusion with UK Sacrilege after being signed to Alchemy Records. Sacrilege B.C. played Bay Area thrash metal with a huge dose of punk and crossover influences. The band featured vocalist Strephon Taylor, guitarists Gary Wendt and Tim Howell, bassist Sean Smithson, and drummer Matt Fillmore. Maybe slightly overlooked amidst the era's tidal floods of '80s speed metal talent, the band only recorded two, curiously named albums in 1986's ‘Party With God’, and 1988's ‘Too Cool to Pray’ . Guitarist Wendt would later help found post-death outfit Skinlab. With this re-issue 'Party With God' finally emerges from obscurity with demo 1985 as bonus. A classic and a raging thrashterpiece that delivers in spades on the promise of TRUE metal/punk crossover! The band was disbanded in 1991. New booklet with old pictures, flyers, posters and all lyrics. Liner notes by the band and by Robb Flynn (Machine Head / ex Vio Lence). As bonus the 4 track demo 1985, 17 tracks in total.

BYRDI
Eventyr

First time on CD! - New Stereo Mix and Master.
Classic Jewelcase Edition w/Obi-Strip

„Eventyr", the debut record by Norwegian folk-act Byrdi, shows the work of two musicians, creating the first touch of something bigger than we – as humans – are. On the occasion of the band's tenth anniversary, Eisenwald re-releases the album digitally and – for the first time – on CD.
Since the first version was unintentionally released in mono, now the record got a stereo treatment – newly mixed by former band member Jørn Øyhus in his own Bergart Studio and mastered by Greg Chandler (Priory Recordings). It features a stunning artwork by David Thiérrée and a new, expanded layout, created at House Of Inkantation, with archival footage from the phase while the album was recorded.

With „Eventyr", Byrdi delivered a fresh take on nordic folk – authentic, handmade, emotive, and unique. A reflection of personal spirituality, seen through the lens of nature and lore. Now fans of dark, hypnotic music, who like to indulge themselves in the melancholic beauty of moody acoustic guitars and chants, can finally take their chance to add this 2014 released gem to their collections – in its definitive version.

NORDEIN
Etna

Classic Jewelcase Edition w/Obi-Strip!

„Etna" explores themes that are far more autobiographical. The album is named after the eternal river of childhood and new life. „Etna" is the source flowing from the mountains and down to the fields, cleaning and purifying everything in its path. Consequently, Jørn Øyhus describes the process of writing the songs on his new piece of art as „like having mirror therapy sessions". The record tells about the thoughts and ponderings of a man whose life kept falling apart piece by piece until there was nothing left but a broken person. A human being that had lost everything except his music to guide him and light his way.

„Etna" was self-recorded in Jørn Øyhus' own „BergArt Studio" in Norway, where the forest is his neighbor and dear friend. His brother Tor Erik Øyhus came by to play the bassoon once owned by their father, who had recently passed away. Emily Nybakk sang the female vocal-parts and Mathias Gyllengahm played the nyckelharpa. Mastering was done at Klangschmiede Studio E by Empyrium's own Markus Stock

ENGE STORE
Det høstes nå

Autumnal, drifting, dark and dreamy – the sonic landscapes created by Norwegian folk-act Enge Store are full of longing and bittersweet nostalgia. Eisenwald has the pleasure to release the debut-record „Det høstes nå", a collection of songs created over five years.

The Oslo-based trio's name, translating into „Vast meadows", is indeed indicative of the band's aspiration: to open up a dreamy topography of haunted places and remnants of things lost. Plucked guitars, pulsating percussion, aching strings, and mournful choirs are signature elements in Enge Store's channeling of distant voices.

HOSTSOL (HØSTSOL)
Länge Leve Döden

This is a project of Cernunnus (Manes), Kalmos (ex-Barathrum), Rainer Tuominkanto (Ajattara) and Niklas Kvarforth (Shining).

THE BAND STATES:

"Länge Leve Döden" is our monumental celebration of the great Lord of Death. A perfect alignment of five songs that were written under a awful unhealthy process over the course of two years. Expect Black Metal the way it used to feel and sound back in the early nineties and rejoice!"

ACID BIRTH
Pleasures Of Flesh / The Divine Grotesque

A CD that compiles the two EP´s spawned by this up and coming, promising U.S. band so far, previously only available on digital since their late November 2021 release. Acid Birth is an enigmatic two-piece act composed of Morg (guitars, bass, vocals) and Tomb (drums, vocals) that hails from the boggy swamps of New Orleans. Accordingly, their strain of Death/Doom Metal is drenched in miasmatic heaviness, wallowing in slime and emitting a moldy odor that shall delight the most demanding palates. Death and decay finds us all. Iniquitous indulgence taunts our minds. Revel in this savage world of ours amongst the rot and filth that Acid Birth provides. Totally recommended to fans of Mortiferum, Spectral Voice, Gatecreeper, Cerebral Rot, Apparition, Wharflurch...

ANCESTRAL
The Unforgotten Years 1993 - 1994

A CD that compiles the two demos released by this old, obscure Canadian Death Metal band: "Ancestral" (1993) and "Forgotten Survivor" (1994). Ancestral was formed in the summer of 1991 in Montreal, QC, by two friends from high school, namely Marc-Antoine Papineau (drums) and Frédéric St-Marseille (guitar). At first, the two friends were just having fun jamming together, but the more time passed, the more their musical passion grew. They wanted to turn the band into a more serious project, therefore two other school friends joined the band, namely Martin Jetté (bass guitar) and Christian Pocetti (guitar). Shortly after, the lineup was completed with the addition of Daniel Collin (vocals). The band began to rehearse a few songs from other bands, and at the same time they started writing their own material. Being already greatly influenced by European acts such as Entombed, Pestilence and Dismember, but also keeping an eye out on certain U.S. influences (Suffocation among others), and already applying a rather technically sophisticated touch for young rookie musicians, they entered the studio to record their debut, eponymous demo, only a year after the band´s inception. From that moment on, the band gradually began to break into the local Death Metal scene, and shared the stage with acts such as Cryptopsy and Kataklysm, as well as some foreign bands such as Suffocation, Incantation and Macabre. A great friendship between the band members and those of Cryptopsy and Suffocation resulted from those shows, allowing Ancestral to find themselves performing alongside Cryptopsy and Suffocation very often. Keeping a lot of the same influences they displayed on their first demo, but adding the new touch of bands like Dark Tranquility and At The Gates, the band returned to the studio by the end of 1994 and recorded their second and last demo, titled "Forgotten Survivor". Ancestral split up in 1995 following the departure of Daniel Collin.
