Portugal's Corpus Christii have returned with a new album that continues the occult black metal sound.
A very dark and raw old school black metal sound starts off the album along with blast beats, morbid sounding melodies and grim yet high pitched screams and the solos and leads are very dark and melodic but also remain true to a black metal style and all of the musical instruments have a very powerful sound to them.

DEVATHORN's Vritra represents the musical and lyrical evolution of the circle into a storming beast, the Mega-Therion that holds the qualities of chaos, knowledge, and death. As the firstborn of dragons, the mighty Asura Serpent trembles and whispers fiery verses that become powerful symbolizations, making the listening experience of the album resemble the fierce awakening of Kundalini, as the Draconian flame ascends to reach the Crown.

Lathspell sounds somewhat typically Scandinavian, ranging from Norway’s Gorgoroth to Sweden’s Watain and latter Marduk efforts, with the eerie atmosphere of Ondskapt. All while still retaining the aggression of France’s Antaeus and a somewhat Australian grandeur to its blasphemy. the list could go on and on with different comparisons, ‘cause "impious incantations” isn’t unique; but it’s still damn good.
These Finnish lads surpass their predecessors in constant quality.

Ahamkara have truly dug deep on their debut, The Embers of the Stars, and birthed a world sculpting and endlessly atmospheric album for the ages that embraces a onetime Scandinavian darkness and innovation, while adopting an organic strain of modernity.

The bombastic and grandiose compositions take flight with an orchestral sense of majesty and soar straight into the nightsky to envelop and further join with the very stars this music so skillfully strives to empower. Atmospheric guitars, dreamlike synths and an emphasis on passionate bass lines keep you enthralled throughout the entire 47 minutes.

New York City experimental black metal tacticians IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT present their new album titled Abyssal Gods, mixed and mastered by Colin Marston (Gorguts, Krallice, Nader Sadek, Atheist, Origin etc.) at Menegroth, The Thousand Caves in New York and boasts the apocalyptic cover craftings of Andrew Tremblay (Deadbots, Downlow’d, Deathface etc.). Focused on urban decay and the imminent extinction of mankind, IMPERIAL TRIUMPHANT’s Abyssal Gods serves as the follow-up to the band’s critically applauded, 2013-released "Shrine to the Trident Throne" album and contains ten punishingly traumatic odes of strategically composed black-addled mayhem bedecked in angular riff incursions, bestial vocal tirades and an overall air of disease.
