Staying true to his passion for filthy old-school Death Metal, "Toxic Noxious Undeath" delivers another crushing dose of rotten riffs, morbid atmospheres and sinister melodies rooted firmly in the classic Scandinavian tradition, while taking the concept a step further through an exceptionally ambitious guest lineup.

Debut album from 2026 by Bulgaria's NECROMONGER and a true celebration of the foulest and most primitive early 1990s Death Metal. Featuring musicians from projects such as FECAL BODY INCORPORATED and COCKLUSH, the band embraces a vision deeply rooted in the genre's origins, rejecting modern trends in favor of the darkest and most repulsive sounds of the extreme underground.

Album consisting entirely of 11 covers of Scandinavian Death Metal bands from the early 1990s, originating from Norway, Sweden and Finland. AVULSED resurrect here songs originally released on demos and EPs by genuine cult bands which, in some cases, never even managed to release a full-length album, yet still helped shape the original sound of Scandinavian Death Metal. Among the bands covered are FUNEBRE, CARBONIZED, OLD FUNERAL, ABHOTH, PHLEGETHON, CREMATORY, CARTILAGE and MACABRE END (pre-GOD MACABRE), among others.

New 2026 double-CD edition of "Drifting in the Crypt", the definitive collection of recordings made between 1989 and 2008 by legendary Finnish PHLEGETHON, one of the most interesting bands from the first generation of Finnish Death Metal. This edition contains no less than 26 tracks, gathering virtually all of the band's recorded material throughout their career: PHLEGETHON developed a dark, raw and primitive form of Death Metal that was highly characteristic of the late-80s/early-90s Finnish scene, while possessing a distinctive identity that also incorporated elements of Black, Thrash and Speed Metal. From their earliest demos through "Fresco Lungs", the evolution of a band that always retained its harsh, gloomy and deeply Underground character can be clearly followed. The later material also demonstrates that their identity remained intact despite their lengthy period of inactivity.

THY CATAFALQUE is the solo-helmed Hungarian avant-garde metal project of Tamás Kátai, running since 1998 and now a two-time Fonogram (Hungarian Grammy) winner. What began as a studio-only outlet has grown, over the past few years, into a full international touring act with festival slots across Europe and Latin America.
'XIII: Sárga erdo' is THY CATAFALQUE's thirteenth album, and unlike its predecessors it carries no single narrative thread: the twelve tracks move instead through what plays like a wandering across old ground, touching on loss, distance, memory and disappearance without ever settling on one story. The record marks a real shift in how it's built: this is the first time THY CATAFALQUE has used a live drummer rather than programmed rhythm, and while the cast is enormous - thirty-four musicians plus a twenty-voice male choir - the folk and classical textures that once flooded every corner of a song (piano, strings, brass, reed, sitar, kamancheh, zither) are used here with real discipline, brought in only when a track calls for them. The result sits closer to the bone than the maximalism of the last record, heavier in restraint than in volume, and it still finds room for a fictitious folk song built for a vanished people on the Volga, an incineration metaphor turned into the album's heaviest cut, and an opener that reads like a farewell letter.

Once again, the record will be full of sharpened songwriting, emotional depth and the unmistakable blend of doom, gothic, blackened, and melodic death metal that has become their signature. "Homesick" represents the band’s most mature and focused work to date. Conceived as a complete listening experience, the album moves through longing, loss, anger, vulnerability, and the search for belonging. It captures Shores Of Null at their most confident and emotionally honest, balancing crushing moments with some of the most memorable melodies the band has written to date, enriched by guest appearances from Natalie Koskinen (Shape of Despair) with her vocals on "The Numbing Void" and Shaun MacGowan (My Dying Bride) on several tracks, including violin on "Dreaming of a Scar" and "The Numbing Void".

Mike Lamb (Sojourner) and Heike Langhans (Sojourner, ex-Draconian) are back with their personal gothic/doom project, Remina. The duo’s sophomore album, The Silver Sea, will follow their 2022 debut Strata and will be released on October 24th 2025 on CD and digital, once again via Avantgarde Music. Here follows the band’s statement.

The Silver Sea was written over the three year period following the release of our debut album Strata, and it is the product of the changes we experienced as both a band and on a personal level.

Remina took to the stage for the first time in 2023, and through this process we got to spend a lot of time in beautiful northern Italy bringing to life live versions of our songs with our excellent live lineup. The process of seeing how our sound translated to a live setting ultimately impacted how we approached this album. We didn't want to deviate from our vision for the band or the sound, but we did incorporate a much more musically 'direct' approach in the way the songs were written this time around. This was helped massively by the excellent drum tracking of Shayne Roos, who lifted our original ideas to an entirely new level. We are also honored to be joined by guest vocal spots from two musicians we greatly look up to, Mick Moss of Antimatter (Algol) and Tony Dunn of Sgàile (Vanta Ray).

On a personal level, we were dealing with the decision of having to uproot our lives in Europe and move back to New Zealand to be closer to family. The weight of the decision to move across the world, so far from the lives we had built, was reflected in the overarching themes and atmosphere of the album. While each song deals with its own subject matter, there is an overarching story running throughout as an invisible thread tying the album together.
