GATEFOLD CLEAR 2LP & POSTER
Formed in 1990, Sweden’s MARDUK are not only one of the most long running and respected black metal acts out there, but also one of the most productive. Even thirteen albums into their storied career, the quartet have never ever delivered a weak album and never wavered from their path of utter blasphemy and misanthropic contempt. Now, Century Media Records and the band are re-visiting various much sought after titles from their vast catalogue: 2004’s “Plague Angel” was the first release featuring current vocalist Mortuus (Funeral Mist, Triumphator) who played a pivotal role in MARDUK’s reinvigoration after the departure of previous singer Legion. He brought a new level of vocal and lyrical intensity plus a frightening stage presence into the game catapulting the group to new heights. The latter is perfectly presented on the merciless live album “Warschau”, recorded in 2005, as well as on such monumental studio albums like “Rom 5:12” (2007) and “Wormwood” (2009), which will now be returning on vinyl in 2018 with various extras. From the original 2LP edition sprawled over 4 sides, “Rom 5:12” was worked into a 3-sided version to allow a better listening flow and not disrupt intros/interludes. The D-side now features an etching! While going through possible additional material for the “Wormwood” album, the band discovered a fully mastered track called “Shadow Comes”, which was supposed to be a bonus track but remained unused. Now, it will be finally made available! All reissues come on 180 gram heavy vinyl in a Gatefold sleeve with poster, and have been mastered for vinyl by Patrick W. Engel / Temple Of Disharmony.
After the much-lauded, diabolical 2012 album “Serpent Sermon”, Sweden's legendary MARDUK return with their first entirely war-themed opus since 1999's “Panzer Division Marduk”. Dubbed “Frontschwein”, this is nothing but a raw and intense bombardment of pure black metal!
Re-issue, CD jewelcase, 28 page booklet on 135g art paper.

The album, the band's 12th full-length release, is a testament to their burning desire to create blackened metal of the highest order. A concept album of sorts, Serpent Sermon is an unadulterated attack on all that is good, casting a heavy pall over light and love. Morgan offers, “The lyrics should speak to everybody, to realize the power contained within. Just let it embrace you and the journey has begun!” That journey is a deep one that plumbs the very depths of Hell as guitars rip and shred, drums thunder and the low end bass pulls at the very bowels of the soul. “As long as we have the desire and burning ambition to spread the message we will continue to be the servants of a higher cause and keep delivering blood, fire and death to the world!”
Re-issue, 4 panel Digipack, black flooded inside, 28 page booklet on 135g art paper.

Created in close cooperation with the band, this re-release features remastered sound (done by bassist Devo Andersson), detailed liner notes, unpublished photos, revamped artwork by Death Wolf vocalist Maelstrom and bonus material on the CD version: a cover version of “Samhain” (originally by pre-DANZIG punk outfit SAMHAIN) and all three tracks from the “Obedience” EP (2000). Expect nothing but perfect extreme black metal pleasure!
