Founded in Czestochowa, Poland in one night in 2015 by Hellscythe and Draugr, dark black metal band MISANTHUR begun to take form.Inspired by metal and non-metal genres, MISANTHUR merge trance percussion, earthbreaking bass, crushing guitars and hellish vocals with (post)apocalyptic ambient landscapes and noise to create its own ouvre and paint the stories and scenery of mundane spiritual wasteland.

With 2012's "Aeons Black" standing as one of the defining death metal albums of the twenty-first century it has been a long wait for the follow up. In 2021, Sweden's Aeon finally return with its successor, "God Ends Here", and in doing so only up the ante with a record that is bigger, harder and stronger in every way. "I wasn't feeling any pressure after such a gap, we don't do shit half assed and I feel like this is our strongest album yet," states guitarist Zeb Nilsson. Sepulchral London entity LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR arrive on DMP in predatory style with second album "Charnel Noir": a towering collection of shadow-songs, moreish as blood to hungry vampiric mouths. Potently blending cinematic Deathrock, ghoulish Doom, heavy Post-Punk and atmospheric Black Metal, "Charnel Noir" is a hook-ridden exploration of the necromantic Undead which captures the restraint, tension and dark romanticism present in the great canonical Gothic works. Central to LIGHT OF THE MORNING STAR are the seductive, hypnotically evocative vocals, given room to soar over sleek, reverently-produced arrangements with all fat removed like useless flesh from an ancient corpse.

Info : Originally released in the spring of 1998 on the pivotal No Fashion label, DARK FUNERAL's second album, Vobiscum Satanas, consolidated the strengths of the band's classic The Secrets of the Black Arts debut – shockingly fast execution, exceptionally memorable melody, and plenty of icy atmosphere to spare – and made the whole attack tighter and more concise. The production, too, once again courtesy of Peter Tägtren at Abyss Studios, became razor-sharp, highlighting these subtle developments. As such, many quite rightly consider Vobiscum Satanas the equal of The Secrets of the Black Arts. Either way, between this pair of albums did DARK FUNERAL establish themselves among THE top black metal bands of the late ‘90s.

Originally released in early 1996 on the pivotal No Fashion label, DARK FUNERAL's debut album,The Secrets of the Black Arts, was an incredibly powerful first full-length statement. From its iconic cover art on down to the sharp, powerful production by Peter Tägtren at Abyss Studios, it could be easily argued thatThe Secrets of the Black Arts was THE defining record of '96, when black metal was climbing out of its sensational days and etching a new language into the wider metal landscape. DARK FUNERAL were there, armed with an arsenal that was shockingly fast yet still exceptionally memorable. Even with all that blastbeaten aggression, there still existed a wealth of atmosphere to the album, proving that the band were no one-trick ponies.

At long last, OSMOSE will do DARK FUNERAL's back catalog justice with the first of many reissues. This version ofThe Secrets of the Black Arts will come with an entire bonus CD disc including the earlier version of the album recorded with Dan Swanö at Unisound in 1995.

Lys is the mastermind of Enisum, the well-known Italian atmospheric black metal band. After focusing on his main band for over a decade, the time came for the musician from Val di Susa to temporarily focus on something different. Here comes Silent Woods, Lys first solo album, a mélange of atmospheric black metal, acoustic music, nature, landscapes, mountains, rivers and forests. 

Similar to yet different from his main musical endeavours, Silent Woods shows a varied sound palette, with the usual Enisum references (Agalloch, Wolves In The Throne Room and the Pacific Northwestern scene) and some twists. Acoustic guitars and clean vocals find their way in, and so do more extreme elements, such as gurgling screams and hypnotic, circular guitar riffs with clear depressive black metal references (Xasthur, Leviathan and the likes).
