Sometimes in a band's history, there's a moment where the calm comes after the storm – when their first output burns brightly, making itself almost impossible to compete with. To simply repeat it would be a mistake, so it's time to change. A significant change, but not in the core of the music, just a change in tonalities, from harsh to smooth, from pained to beautiful…

This is not the case with Acathexis.

Jake, Dany & Déhà return with their searing style of atmospheric black metal. Like the ebb and flow of the human experience, light-speed blast beats interweave with introspective passages to express a flurry of emotions and energy, with heartrending screams, harsh guitars that veil solemnity, produced triumphantly but with the mark of each member imprinted clearly upon it. They haven’t changed, and they have much more to say with the sound which has become their signature.

Second installment “二度目の災害” (‘second disaster’) from the enigmatic black metal entity Arkhtinn takes us on a dark voyage into the cold dead space. Arkhtinn is a part of the Prava KolleKtiv consisting of an anonymous group of musicians. Over the past few years, the band has released a number of demos, but it was until the year 2018 that this enigmatic outfit released its debut album. “最初の災害“. The band provides a cosmic sense of the palpable atmosphere creating a brooding mood for the listener with the use of electronic samples combined with the oppressive percussion and rhythm guitars adding immense sensibility to the growing atmosphere of the music transcends in the sonic realm of cosmic black metal. The keyboards here form thick layers on top of the blistering tremolo-picked riffs that are meticulously infused with the massive outburst of the drums keeping the music flowing deep.

Vio-Lence is an American thrash metal band formed in 1985 in the San Francisco Bay Area. Throughout its existence, they released demo tapes, one EP and three studio albums. Vio-Lence is often credited as one of the leading lights of the second wave of the genre. This compilation covers their entire demo discography: Rehearsal demo 1986, Demo 1986, Demo 1988, LIVE Miami, 17 August 1988 and the ‘Torgue’ demo 1993. Restored and mastered by Patrick W. Engel at TEMPLE OF DISHARMONY (Sodom, Darkthrone, Sacred Reich). Partially remastered and restored by Achilleas Kalantzis (Varathron, Possessed). Malevolent Creation is formed in Buffalo, New York in 1987. The original members were vocalist Brett Hoffmann, guitarists Phil Fasciana and Jim Nickles, bassist Jason Blachowicz, and drummer Dennis Kubas. The band moved to Florida a year after it formed And easily emergent in local death metal scene. In 1990 they signed a deal with Roadrunner Records. Their debut album ‘The Ten Commandments’ is widely considered as a death metal mile stone. Cover artwork for this complete demo discography is made by Thomas Pinheiro (Possessed, Lobotomy, Defiance). All tracks are remastered at Suncord Audiolab (Varathron, Celestial Season, Sacramentum). Booklet design by RaDesign (Reverend, Heir Apparent, Sacramentum, Lord Belial). Extensive liner notes by Christopher Dick (Decibel Magazine). Disk I contains the 3 tracks demo 1987, demo 1989, their ground-breaking demo 1990 (recorded at Morrisound Recording, Tampa, Florida (Death Cannibal Corpse, Deicide) and finally 5 live tracks recorded at The Thrash Can, Miami, Florida, September 1990. Disk II contains the 8 tracks official live demo 1989 and their 5 tracks Live ep 1993. Personnel over the years featuring on this double CD are besides core-members Phil Fasciana (Guitars) and Brett Hoffmann (Vocals) for example Lee Harrison (Monstrosity, Terrorizer) on drums, Alex Marquez (Solstice, Demolition Hammer) and Mark van Erp (Cynic, Monstrosity, Solstice).

Founded in 1984, Heir Apparent issued a pair of ground-breaking albums between 1986 and 1989. Prior to the formation of Heir Apparent band was called Nemesis for a year. When vocalist Corey Rivers left the band in early 1984, the three remaining members recruited singer Paul Davidson, and the band's name was changed to Heir Apparent. The music of this Seattle-based band spans a range from progressive speed metal to acoustic-driven power ballads, fused with melodic and intelligent lyrical themes, and respected for their intense and emotive live performances. Since 2000, Terry Gorle has reformed Heir Apparent for several festival concerts in Europe, and numerous local shows around the Seattle area. In 2015, a line-up was solidified for additional European festivals, and a third studio album release in 2018.
