Simply titled but by no means simple in construction nor execution, Djinn builds upon the increasingly ambitious songwriting of its no-less-considerable predecessor, but pushes their dazzling artistry into nearly Technicolor landscapes of the Beyond. Upon the first opening notes, this boundless artistry is felt: big, rolling rhythms reminiscent of post-punk, tantalizingly setting the stage for the splendorous expanses to follow. There's a certain magick at play here, no doubt bolstered by the band's rhythm section of Josiah Babcock (who puts in his final performance here) and new bassist Nate Verschoor, erstwhile mainman of Veiled; this throttling-yet-deft foundation both leads and plays acute counterpoint to the spiraling, windswept riffing of founders Jake Superchi (also vocals) and James Sloan, their guitar work transcending the poignancy of prior works. And indeed, Djinn's generous six-song/hour-long runtime no doubt allows the listener the ultimate freedom to roam within Uada's ever-unique world, spanning both smothering speed and deliriously dream-like states, Very Metal urgency and textural exploration alike - put simply, the band at the height of their creative powers. Djiin is truly its own realm of experience.
"Djinn, first inhabitors of this world, the smokeless fire and those we call upon our enemies, has gifted us a 60-minute descent into the modern-day possessions of our existence and demise," state the band, "A duality that can only be known as our third wish."

"diabolical and deep, like a better-informed and more melodic version of De Mysteriis-era Mayhem. The result scratches the infernal itch perfectly, and will hopefully be embrace by both old- and new-schoolers alike."

On their sophomore full-length, “Cult of a Dying Sun”, Uada expand their scope and range of hypnotic craft. Balancing sharp riffs with spectral melodies in a manifold of haunting yet distinctive black metal dirges. A sharp spear in the heart of the brightest star. Epic, atmospheric, deadly.
Reissue, Red Vinyl
Cult black metal act INQUISITION exploded from the underground with 2013's full-length 'Obscure Verses For The Multiverse'. Prior to the release of this critically-acclaimed masterpiece, the American duo had unleashed five other albums that all contributed in establishing INQUISITION as a rising black star on the extreme metal scene. Originally published in 2007 and long out of print, ‘Nefarious Dismal Orations' further established the band's trademark chainsaw riffs and ominous vocals croaking odes to the infinite and satanic alike. Foreshadowing INQUISITION's arrival as the new kings of darkness and now adorned with brand new cover art designed Paolo Girardi, the album's original nine paeans to the occult are at once hostile, hypnotic, and bombastic.
Limited to 400 copies. Heavyweight red vinyl. Gatefold single-pocket cover sleeve, inner jackets feature credits & lyrics.

Mike Lamb (Sojourner) and Heike Langhans (Sojourner, ex-Draconian) are back with their personal gothic/doom project, Remina. The duo’s sophomore album, The Silver Sea, will follow their 2022 debut Strata and will be released on October 24th 2025 on CD and digital, once again via Avantgarde Music. Here follows the band’s statement.
The Silver Sea was written over the three year period following the release of our debut album Strata, and it is the product of the changes we experienced as both a band and on a personal level.
Remina took to the stage for the first time in 2023, and through this process we got to spend a lot of time in beautiful northern Italy bringing to life live versions of our songs with our excellent live lineup. The process of seeing how our sound translated to a live setting ultimately impacted how we approached this album. We didn't want to deviate from our vision for the band or the sound, but we did incorporate a much more musically 'direct' approach in the way the songs were written this time around. This was helped massively by the excellent drum tracking of Shayne Roos, who lifted our original ideas to an entirely new level. We are also honored to be joined by guest vocal spots from two musicians we greatly look up to, Mick Moss of Antimatter (Algol) and Tony Dunn of Sgàile (Vanta Ray).
On a personal level, we were dealing with the decision of having to uproot our lives in Europe and move back to New Zealand to be closer to family. The weight of the decision to move across the world, so far from the lives we had built, was reflected in the overarching themes and atmosphere of the album. While each song deals with its own subject matter, there is an overarching story running throughout as an invisible thread tying the album together.
New Severoth album, releases officially on January, 8 2021 but ships out from Sound Cave mailorder already on December 4th !

Emerging from the Belgian underground in 1993, ENTHRONED have stood as one of black metal’s enduring forces, their legacy defined by uncompromising vision and ritualistic intensity. Over three decades, the band has refined their craft into an artform of esoteric violence and transcendence.
Their new opus ‘Ashspawn’ embodies six years of ritual creation and total artistic unity. Written in collaboration with occult author Gilles de Laval, the album charts a descent into spiritual death and a transformative rebirth, framed by a lyrical architecture of demonology, ritual praxis, and metaphysical calculus. Musically, it is ENTHRONED’s most ferocious and personal work to date: a relentless fusion of blast beats, oppressive mid-tempos, and solos oscillating between chaos and virtuosity. Tracks such as “Raviasamin”, “Ashspawn”, and “Ashen Advocacy” channel this doctrine into ritual soundscapes that convulse between violent catharsis and crushing introspection.
Every note and silence are deliberate; a weapon forged for transformation rather than entertainment. ‘Ashspawn’ is not an echo of past glories, but a culmination of ENTHRONED’s essence: dark, authentic, and absolute.
