il tempo ci restituisce una band con un'ispirazione che non gli si riconosceva da un paio di decenni....
suono anche decisamente aggiornato ed "europeo", con un tocco di religious black metal, pur senza abbandonare le affascinanti caratteristiche dell'immortale "sound alla Greca"

Ruvidi ma in pieno controllo dei loro strumenti, i francesi Sordide inizialmente vi ricorderanno l'arroganza attitudinale quasi "punk" dei loro ben noti connazionali Peste Noir, ma in realtà sotto questo esordio, "La France a peur", si cela molto di più.
Le parti di chitarra sono semplicemente sensazionali e conferiscono alla band di fatto un sound assolutamente personale ed innovativo per quanto semplicemente catalogabile come 'black metal', a dimostrazione che l'avanguardia in musica sta più nell'idea e nella visione che non nelle realizzazioni

Sermons Of The Infidel’ contains a selection of 15 songs from Countess’ past. These tracks were selected by the band and all – save two live songs – were recorded again specifically for this album, throughout 2013 and 2014.

Eight of these tracks were released in 2013 as a digital-only EP. Due to popular demand, the band decided to release a physical version as well. The original eight tracks have been remixed and remastered and seven tracks have been added: five more new versions of Countess classics – including a Manilla Road cover – and two live songs, recorded at the ‘Metal Magic’ festival in Denmark this year.

Obscure and fast. These two words basically describe INSORCIST's debut. Released by both, Apocalyptic Records and Blasphemy Art Records, this album has a little of everything. Members are well seasoned, talented individuals who managed to put on tape a nice raw, well-balanced production of amazing musicianship. The vocals, ranging from deep to mid-tone growling, are kinda buried in the mix; but don't get me wrong, they add up to the overall gloomy atmosphere. The drum work is simply amazing, pounding non-stop along the way and some songs highlight great bass work too. Guitars shift from fast tremolo riffing to heavy as hell power chords, some harmonized lines and blazing leads. I hate to compare bands, but INSORCIST could easily be the bastard child of MY OWN GRAVE and (old) IMMOLATION. With this said, one can only conclude the obvious result: a hellish spawn of heavy and ultra-fast Death Metal. A relentless 30 minute attack that shall appeal to any self-proclaimed Death Metal fan. If you don't bang your head to "The Slaughter Of Divine Creed" you might as well be dead.
 

Blasphemy
