Obscure and fast. These two words basically describe INSORCIST's debut. Released by both, Apocalyptic Records and Blasphemy Art Records, this album has a little of everything. Members are well seasoned, talented individuals who managed to put on tape a nice raw, well-balanced production of amazing musicianship. The vocals, ranging from deep to mid-tone growling, are kinda buried in the mix; but don't get me wrong, they add up to the overall gloomy atmosphere. The drum work is simply amazing, pounding non-stop along the way and some songs highlight great bass work too. Guitars shift from fast tremolo riffing to heavy as hell power chords, some harmonized lines and blazing leads. I hate to compare bands, but INSORCIST could easily be the bastard child of MY OWN GRAVE and (old) IMMOLATION. With this said, one can only conclude the obvious result: a hellish spawn of heavy and ultra-fast Death Metal. A relentless 30 minute attack that shall appeal to any self-proclaimed Death Metal fan. If you don't bang your head to "The Slaughter Of Divine Creed" you might as well be dead.

Four years on from their critically acclaimed Let the Devil In masterpiece,
SARGEIST return with their massively anticipated fourth album, Feeding the Crawling Shadows. More than just a quintessentially "black metal" album title, Feeding the Crawling Shadows is a veritable raison d'etre for these Finnish scene legends: With faith and devotion, through ritual and necromancy, SARGEIST feed the blackest, most Satanic essence at the core of BLACK METAL and, in turn, wield its clandestine powers with sorcerous might.

Swedish legendary act Pan.Thy.Monium's second album reissued on jewelcase cd

Krieg has returned. For anyone even remotely familiar with US black metal this demonic wrecking crew needs no introduction. Over the course of their 19-year career they have produced some of the finest albums to emerge from the US black metal scene. And their latest is no exception. Transient, which is being released by Candlelight Records, continues their tradition of challenging and expanding the boundaries of the genre.

After a period of 6 years in the wilderness, Norway’s exponents of groove-laden black metal are back with a new album, ‘Til Endes‘. Undoubtedly the band’s strongest work to date, ‘Til Endes‘ explores the dark foreboding corners of the metal spectrum with eerie riffs, grim vocals courtesy of mysterious frontman Gard, and catchy hooks which are so often ignored in the genre.

Digipack

Written and recorded in a handful of days, the four epic, emotive songs on offer pass the 47-minute mark
There are a lot of dreamy, expansive, spacey, cosmic passages included
atmospheric Black Metal.
There’s a lot of melody at work and blastbeats are totally eschewed
in favour of slow- to mid-paced observations backboned by drums that genuinely sound like
they were recorded in an ice cave.
This record is mysterious, authentic, ancient yet ageless cold, cold, cold BM magic from the darkest shores of Sweden.
