 GOATS OF DOOM showed a new face on Rukous, where the mysterious atmosphere of old is shot through with more surging aggression and bewitching melody: in essence, a melodic blizzard, if you will. It's characteristically Finnish in its melancholy - melody can never be too saccharine, of course - but burns icy hot with a passion that makes its seven-song/42-minute runtime a nightsky treasure to behold. The theme of Rukous is suitably spirituality, and hereby do GOATS OF DOOM offer myriad ways to worship the dark.

Whoredom Rife was forged in silence during 2013 and 2014 in the outskirts of Nidaros, Norway. The band was founded by V. Einride and K.R. based on new ideas and old ideas dating back as far as the early nineties. 
The idea behind the band is to breathe new life into the art form and lifestyle that they know as True Norwegian Black Metal. 
Since their debut EP was released at the end of 2016 by the Norwegian label Terratur Possessions, the band has been touring the world as a full band, adding to the fold Wraath(One Tail, Behexen), Bruthor(Perished) and Nosophoros(Mare, Ritual Death). Quickly after the critically acclaimed debut EP a debut LP was released, namely 'Dommedagskvad'. Getting raging reviews from all over, the band kept touring and doing shows up until this day, and with a third release already ready, 'NID - Hymner Av Hat', theres no holding back.

The record is filled to the brim with sulphurous, epic Black Metal as come to be expected from Whoredom Rife by this point, yet a more sinister approach than on previous works.

“Hypnagogia” is an expression of doom metal artistry where the listener will bear witness how EVOKEN can create a new and even more daring expression with a monument that will be recognized as a landmark. This tends to happen regardless with every EVOKEN release, but “Hypnagogia” sees the band expand their musical dynamics even more through the meticulous care and discrimination of the band’s song writing process, “Hypnagogia” being a listening experience through a multitude of varying yet flourishing emotions.

Hauntingly primal, the album’s evocative nature is matched by its flawless lo-fi production of ghostly guitars and ethereal synths. Evilfeast’s lone multi-instrumentalist, GrimSpirit, begins his prolific body of work with a wintry dissonance. With over two decades of depraved black metal under his belt, it is easy to see why Evilfeast belongs alongside Burzum, Paysage d'Hiver and Midnight Odyssey.
