Deconstructing Black Metal into its rawest elements seems to be the task of Vanhelga since its inception. With "Längtan" (third full-lenght ) the band continues its journey into the deepest and darkest corners of musical exploration with 12 tracks of pure misanthropy and bleakness.
With their second album, Peccata Mortalia, ENTARTUNG exhale a crypt-stench stronger than death. Indeed, Peccata Mortalia displays the duo in an even stronger (black)light, the songwriting both more assured and distinctive and the execution more vile and grim. Shadow-draped yet melodic, despite the band's Teutonic origins, ENTARTUNG forego the mystical/medieval vibe of their country's usual black metal style and, in fact, slot well alongside Finland's filthy and emotive idiom of the past decade.

Official reissue of this cult and obscure Death/Doom classic from the Dutch scene, originally released in 1994, featuring brand new artwork by Cesar Valladares, lots of pictures taken from the band´s personal archives, liner notes by Gerlach Timmer (Mystic Charm´s bassist), and the "Endless Sickness" demo (1992) as bonus tracks. This, their debut full-length album, is the aural equivalent of a dark haunting sinister figure lurking amongst the shadows and graves of an overgrown old graveyard that no one dares to enter at night.
