From the creative mind of Ville “V-KhaoZ” Pallonen (Vargrav, Olio Tahtien Takana, Dim Lights, Druadan Forest and many more) a new project is born to walk the streets of rage.
Destro is the latest output from the Finnish multi-instrumentalist and professional composer, a tribute to the days of his youth in a synthwave, neon purple guise.
As Pallonen himself describes it: “Night of Vengeance is a story based in a dystopic and crime-ridden world where a group of people are trying to survive when machines start to come alive and become homicidal. Musically and production-wise, it is strongly inspired by 80s sci-fi and horror movie soundtracks.
On a personal level, the entire Destro concept is a trip down the memory lane to an era that sparked the love for music and storytelling”.
Compared to your usual, flashy retrowave record, Destro comes a bit darker, menacing and desolate than what this genre generally represents, as it is to be expected seen V-KhaoZ’s background.
Never, Neverland is the album that turns the page for UNTO OTHERS. Their third LP, following underground classics, Mana and Strength, it's the sound of harsh light breaking through the Portland quartet's darkened gothic and classic metal motifs. Three years after the acclaimed Obârșie, Romanian folk/progressive black metal band Sur Austru is back with their third studio album, Datura Străhiarelor.
Sur Austru was born from the ashes of the late Negură Bunget, keeping alive their intent to bring Romanian lore into music. Datura Străhiarelor is the band’s most complex and ambitious project to date, the music heavily leaning on the progressive and folkloristic side, even more than before.
Datura Străhiarelor is Romanian for The Gift of Scarecrows” and is a concept album focusing on the Apocalypse triggered by magical beings from Romanian mythology.
Their spells break the gate between the fantastic world and the real one, through which ancient beasts surge, thus annihilating humankind.
Haunting incantations and invocations, mesmerizing flutes, percussions and unpredictable guitar structures all blend together to craft a new fascinating journey through the Carpathians and beyond. If you ever loved masterpieces such as Negura Bunget’s Om or Dordeduh’s self-titled debut, as well as Enslaved’s most prog outputs, Datura Străhiarelor is an album you cannot miss.

Ende, a Black Metal outfit hailing from France are ready to unleash their 6th full length album: “L'aube des Anathèmes”. Previously signed to Obscure Abhorrence Productions, the band has released 5 solid albums in the past and continue to do so with their next opus.
L'aube des Anathèmes offers a wide range of the mid 90’s Black Metal sound where you can hear undoubtedly the raw / old school black metal in their sound to a certain point where it gets mixed with the synth instrument (that is very present within the symphonic black metal genre) without sounding to symphonic, but rather haunted or vampiric. The guitars however deliver those vile raw and yet melodic riffs that directly make you forget about all the above and just take you on this wave of melodies throughout the album. The drums are pounding with variations between the old school blast beats and fast blast beats to even mid-tempo and thrash like tempos together with an overlay on low bass tones. The vocals can only be complimented for lifting everything up and finalizing that 90’s sound as a whole!
Ende has delivered an album that is furious, relentless, melodic (with a touch of symphonic) and driven with the old school 90’s black metal sound and all in all managed to wrap it up in a solid production. L'aube des Anathèmes is a must have for the old school, melodic and even pagan fans of the Black Metal genre!
