Scald from Yarsoslavl in Russia were formed by bassist Velignor in the second half of 1993. A year later their first proper demo tape »North Winds« was recorded. However, it was their cassette album under the original title of »Will Of Gods Is A Great Power«, released in October 1997 on MetalAgen (one of the biggest labels in Russia at the time), that made them an underground cult name in international doom circles. At this point in time their charismatic singer Agyl was already dead (he was tragically killed in a train accident on September 6th 1997), and the band as such didn’t exist anymore. 24 years later, in 2021, High Roller Records issued the ultimate edition of the album under the new title of »Will Of The Gods Is Great Power«. As a result, Scald were gaining battalions of new fans and went on to achieve a whole new level of popularity. After a one-off live appearance at the Hammer Of Doom festival in 2019 and a 7” single called »There Flies Our Wail!« on High Roller in 2021, Scald are back for good with a brand new studio album aptly christened »Ancient Doom Metal«. It was recorded by the four original Scald members Velingor (bass), Harald (guitars), Karry (guitars), Ottar (drums and percussion) plus Felipe Plaza Kutzbach (known for his work with Procession and Capilla Ardiente) on vocals.

Over the past years, the multi-instrumentalist has been active in more than half a dozen bands, among them Brimstone Coven and Icarus Witch. His main priority, however, is his own project Ironflame, for which he writes the music, lyrics, handles all the instruments and sings. Originally formed in 2016, Ironflame have released four full-length records to great critical acclaim and fantastic fan reactions

As the album unfolds, so does the narrative of death's unwritten pages, each track a testament to the inevitability of oblivion. While firmly rooted in black metal, the album is full of variation ranging from fast-paced blasts to doom-like passages and everything in between. The riffs pay homage to the iconic black metal bands of the 90s that shaped the genre, all the while carving out their own distinct trajectory. To create that extra layer of atmosphere, the songs are adorned with evocative acoustic & lead guitars and subtle synths.

LOBOTOMY was a Swedish death metal act from Stockholm formed in 1989 and split-up in 2000. The band released several demos in the early 90s. This compilation,’Final Wrath, The early hymns of Lobotomy’ contains all demos, ep’ s and promo’s from 1989 till 1993 prior to their debut album. Necronomicon is a German Thrash Metal Legend, founded in 1983.
