True Norwegian Outlaw Country.

DEATHBARREL’s first full-length in 14 years.
"Life Resignation Notice", deals in dark outlaw country from the cold and ruthless edges of Norway. A soundtrack for empty roads, bad decisions, broken hearts and the ghosts that refuse to stay buried. Driving guitars, whiskey-soaked melodies and stories dragged straight from the shadows - where Southern Gothic meets the bleakness of the North. No pretty lies. No redemption promised. Just True Norwegian Outlaw Country.
"Life Resignation Notice" is an album so steeped in darkness that it's bound to cross over and thrive with any genre found down below. See DEATHBARREL take the stage and set a new world order.

Founded in 2004, Finsterforst have released 5 albums and 2 EPs so far. Starting as a folk metal act with high usage of accordion, the band has evolved its sound to some kind of epic and cinematic mix of post, post black, black and folk metal featuring an enormous range of different singing styles and heavy riffing. The band itself calls this sound Black Forest Metal, referencing their roots in the Black Forest region. During the covid pandemic Finsterforst asked their fans to help funding a new EP with only one song clocking in at almost 40 minutes. The fans came to help, Jenseits was born. Definitely not made for streaming, Finsterforst continue to go their own way of creating mind-bending art that will stand the test of time. The new mini album has only one song clocking in at almost 40 minutes. This album is divided into 4 chapters.

Gatefold Double LP on black vinyl & with inlay.
For more than two decades, Finsterforst have been shaping their own distinctive voice within extreme metal, continuously evolving both musically and lyrically without ever losing their core identity. Their sound merges elements from a wide spectrum of heavy music — from black and folk-inspired roots to epic, atmospheric and post-metal influences — forming a style they refer to as “Black Forest Metal”: a blend that feels both deeply rooted and entirely its own.

Rather than fitting into a single label, their music thrives on contrast and fusion: crushing heaviness meets vast, cinematic atmospheres; raw aggression unfolds into melancholic, emotional depth; and monumental arrangements carry a sense of both intimacy and scale. While often described in broader terms as epic, atmospheric or post-influenced extreme metal, Finsterforst deliberately transcend genre boundaries.

The result is a sound that is brutally powerful yet richly layered, where sadness, rage, triumph and grandeur coexist within expansive compositions. Driven by constant progression and a refusal to stand still, Finsterforst continue to refine a vision that is as immersive as it is unmistakable

Are you ready to be initiated by the four archetypes within?
With these songs, Sowulo founder Faber Horbach intentionally invokes his inner Warrior, Lover, King and Magician and hopes it will help you to do the same. This album is all about growing into a mature human being by connecting with the power of the four archetypes, and consciously walking together with them on the adventure we call the wheel of life. These compositions express his interpretation of the four archetypes which he connects to the four seasons within and without, and so they follow the cyclical nature of mann.

‘MANN’ was initially released in August 2019; composed and produced by Faber Horbach. The album has amassed over 2,6M streams.

With immersive songs, Sowulo celebrates our great pagan legacy and takes an inner spiritual journey. The lyrics and the music, created with (early) medieval and contemporary instruments combined with cinematic sounds and voice, invoke archetypical wisdom and express the cyclical nature of existence.

Sowulo is a project formed by the Dutch multi-instrumentalist, composer and producer Faber Horbach. With a great passion for music, history and shamanism, Faber has a need for creating melancholic and meaningful songs full of spirit and depth, he has inspired thousands of listeners around the world to connect with their cyclical and spiritual nature through his music.
