Sisyphean from Vilnius, Lithuania is one the most exciting bands of the genre. So far, they have released two full-length albums – This new album entitled Divergence which will be out on all formats in April 2026, released by Norway´s Edged Circle Productions.
Perfect for the quietness of the winter forest, but also well suited for a walk through the city centre. Earphones on. A bleak drizzle of rain in the city or a hazy mist in the forest. No stars in the sky, or sun in the morning, just gloom and a sense of hopelessness. But there is always a way to retaliate. To stand up to the poison of lies, deceit and oppression. The feeling of the song is both solitude and anger. Still the solitude is by choice and not by force. Is there a plot for revenge in the making?
Sisyphean provides us with a inspiring creative outlet of their unique-sounding black metal. True to their musical legacy and their history, it´s also open to new inspirations. This makes it both fresh sounding and timeless.
Brilliantly written, this fierce black metal track is built on dense guitars and relentless grooves and is dark and confrontational, but melodic within it´s consistent chord progression. It´s both straight forward and complicated at the same time. The gives you the opportunity to lose yourself in the music without pushing unnecessary changes or be troubled by unneeded breaks. Everything has a function to back up to story.

'Masks of the Magi' Trilogy, opus II
THE OUTSIDER
The dreams die and the firmament drowns. Amidst the ashes of a dead forest rises a solitary kingdom. These towers breathe the blackest of magic…
Old Sorcery is a dungeon synth / black metal project from Lahti, Finland, born in 2017 from the ever-creative mind of Juuso “Vrajitor” Peltola (Warmoon Lord, Argenthorns, Vrajitor’s Tenebrarium and many more), which is now in the middle of a trilogy of releases shared between labels Out Of Season and Avantgarde Music.
The Outsider is the second part of this fantasy concept, which here blends dungeon synth with the more atmospheric and escapist part of black metal.
Over 70 minutes long, The Outsider is a real journey through fabled lands and mysteries unknown.

Kanonenfieber's debut Menschenmühle has been one of the self-produced highlights of early 2021. With its mature songwriting and uncommon thematic approach, the album is intended to commemorate the countless victims of World War I.
Men were thrown into a differing reality where only survival would count. Death, fear and hunger as a steady companion in the waist-deep trenches filled with mud. One order transferred people into cannon fodder in the human mill - World War I. The lyrical background of Menschenmühle is based on factual reports, letters and other documents from the surviving and deceased soldiers. The album was written, recorded and produced by Kanonenfieber from September 2020 to January 2021 in the Noisebringer studio.
Marlugubre is a post-black metal project founded in 2018, that was initially conceived as an acoustic and instrumental solo band. Over the years, the sound evolved into something more complex and complete. The project now draws inspiration from bands such as Opeth, Alcest, and Deafheaven. Marlugubre blends post-black metal with progressive and atmospheric elements, and the latest album, “Per Amor Nymphae”, is deeply rooted in Greek mythology, in particular, it focuses on the mythical figures of the nymphs. The album evokes an introspective journey through ancient Greece, its atmospheres echo the dreamy melancholy of Alcest and Deafheaven, with subtle influences inspired by Opeth’s emotional depth. Stories like Orpheus and Eurydice are brought to life through sound, the primordial figure of Nyx from Hesiod’s Theogony is also explored, alongside tales of Chloris and the tragic myth of Scylla and Glaucus. In this album, distorted, clean, and acoustic guitars intertwine throughout the album conveying romanticism, fragility, and a sense of timeless beauty, letting the music be a narrative tool rather than mere composition. A new element emerges with Serena’s vocal presence, her voice blends naturally with the album’s ethereal atmospheres, adding warmth, sweetness, and emotional intimacy. “Per Amor Nymphae” stands as a romantic and mythological sound voyage.
Sweden's October Tide was the project formed by Katatonia members Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman in 1995, with much of the material being written during a period of inactivity for their main band.
Grey Dawn was October Tide's second album, originally released in 1999.
Dresden-based black/thrash newcomers LEAD INJECTOR present their debut album "Witching Attack" - an uncompromising homage to classic extreme metal, recorded over seven intensive days in August 2025 at Stereoid Studios in Schönfels, Saxony. "It was a really awesome time, we experimented a lot, racked our brains and learned a great deal," recalls vocalist/bassist Leo about the sessions. Founded in 2022, the trio is the first serious band for all three members after experiences in solo projects and school ensembles, and they quickly found their place in the local scene with their 2024 demo "From the Crypts... of Hell". "Witching Attack" now combines re-recorded demo tracks with fresh material written in the meantime. From the beginning, Lead Injector have demonstrated a knack for catchy song structures that sets them apart from average acts in this style. "We make sure that each of our songs is individual and unique, no two sound alike," Leo emphasizes. This approach creates variety and memorability – qualities not taken for granted in the genre. With "Witching Attack", Lead Injector make a statement: extreme metal with recognition value, authentically produced and carried by the energy of a hungry young band that will significantly help shape the scene in the future.
